This female narrator couldn't possibly be more condescending.

The title is misleading. There were at least 10 Benedictine monasteries in Ireland when this was filmed. Cistercians and Olivetans are Benedictine.

Quote to SHARE by St. Teresa of Avila "Behind each priest, there is a demon fighting for his fall. If we have the language to criticize them, we must have twice as much to pray for them."

Russia and the Eastern Orthodox monasteries are all being rebuilt to their old glory and are full of nuns and monks. We need to do the same in the West with our Roman Catholic religious houses and buildings.

what a fascinating documentary. Does anyone know how to spell that concept of the Celts that the father is referring to at 4:13. Naught, Noutt...? I have tried to google it but nothing seems to come up. I would love to learn more about it.
