In this video I show you step-by-step how to make this delicious snack.
Recipe Ingredients
300g Mashed Potato (Do not add anything like milk, etc. only a little butter or margarine.
4 Eggs
200g Onion finely chopped
400g Grated Cheese
Puff Pastry Either shop bought or your own make.

If you want to make a smaller quantity simply dived the ingredients in half.

My favourite cook. It was so sad to see him struggling at the end.
Thank you so much for giving Mr Pauls recipes to a new generation.
I send them to my children and grandchildren in NZ and Australia and they are amazed.
Now living in the S Pacific islands, I cannot get the wonderful food of my forbears without your wonderful recipes. Pork pies forever!

I made these three times. Delicious! I try and use English cheddar, and I cook them at 425F for 20 minutes and they’re great!

I grew up in Scotland and would walk to greggs every school lunchtime and have a cheese and union pastie and apple strudel. Haven't found them here in Melbourne, but now I can try and make my own, great video 👍

I made these last week. I used leeks instead of onions because I had them on hand. I live by a Persian supermarket where I can get nice frozen puff pastry. They turned out very nicely. Thanks for sharing.

Oh those looked delicious. If I saw them in a bakery, I’d probably think they were extremely hard to make and I would never consider even trying to make them. But you made them look so easy to make that I am definitely going to give it a try.
My mind is whirling with ideas for additional fillings.
I bet they would be a huge hit for a church lunch

Hi Mr Paul, after watching my 1st video of you making Scottish shortbread, I had to watch another & no doubt I'm going to watch more. Mr. Paul, I made these last night. They were so good! Thank you so much for your advice on using puff pastry instead of pie dough. These turned out so flaky and they had a nice little crunch. I ate them all myself! LOL! I make it a point to test my cooking before serving it to others. wink wink!

I’ve commented on these amazing pasties before but they’re that good I must comment again. They are superb! Greggs, you don’t stand a chance . Absolutely gorgeous. I’ve tried others on YouTube. Not as good. Thanks for posting, appreciated Mr Paul.
