𼰠RECIPE âŹ
Ingredients
1½ teaspoons salt (8 g)
1½ cups hot water (300 ml)
4½ cups flour (490 g)
For greasing the dough
135 g butter
For the filling
350 g ground beef
1 onion
1 teaspoon salt
Black pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes or paprika
For the top
Vegetable oil
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the dough ingredients and knead until you have a soft, non-sticky dough. Transfer the dough to the counter and knead until smooth.
Divide the dough into 2 equal pieces. Place them on a tray, cover, and let them rest for 20 minutes.
Roll out the rested dough pieces very thinly. Brush them with melted butter, making sure the surface is well coated. Then fold the dough as shown in the recipe and brush with butter again.
Place the folded dough pieces back on the tray, cover, and let them rest in the freezer for 20 minutes.
For the filling, place the ground beef in a bowl. Add the grated onion, salt, and spices, then knead the mixture for about 5 minutes.
Take the chilled dough out and roll it out. Divide it into 16 equal pieces. Place some of the meat filling inside each piece, then fold and seal them as shown in the recipe. Arrange the pastries on a baking tray.
Brush the tops with vegetable oil.
Bake in a preheated oven at 185°C (365°F) for approximately 45â50 minutes, or until golden brown. Keep an eye on them toward the end of the baking time.
