It's like Pooh grew up to become a pub chef, and now he's telling Christopher Robin's kids how to cook.

I just listened to Winnie the Pooh make a meat pie. Had no idea I needed that in my life.

I could listen to this guy narrate a grocery list for hours, what a wonderful voice

Just remember, for this guy and his whole region, they think Pooh has a normal voice, and we're the ones with interesting accents, I love it, thanks Uncle John

Lol,holy shit, my wife just walked into the living room and asked if Winnie the Pooh was teaching how to cook.🤣🤣🤣

I KNOW this one will be a winner because as I was watching it with my wife, she suddenly said, "Those really DO look yummy...." When you get that from HER, it's a HIT!! We'll be trying these, to be sure. 😊😊😊

I think this video is influencing my vacation plans. Now the question becomes how to sell my wife on a meat pie tasting tour across the UK.

This is one of the most comforting things I have ever watched. Winnie the Pooh giving instructions on how to cook is absolutely amazing!

Note that he used an Indian bay leaf, not a laurel bay leaf (common in the US). They are very different and if you don't have Indian bay a substitute could be a small pinch of cinnamon or a single clove. Great trick using the spoon handle to cut the fats into the flour! It looked like the perfect texture.

Mate, anyone who talks shit about British cuisine has CLEARLY never tried one of these spectacular meat pies. Outstanding.

My son has spent time in England on business several times and has talked about steak and ale pies and how he misses them. I can't wait to surprise him this weekend with a batch of these pies.

I worked in the Pharmacy in Bellingham, near Keilder forest, late 1995 - mid 1996.

There was a pie shop next door, which fed most of the village late on Friday & Saturday nights, after everyone had stumbled out of the local pubs.

Amazing pies, and I was passing through Bellingham last Summer & very little has changed. Lovely wee place.

Im so glad everyone thinks this guy sounds like Winnie the Pooh as well. This is the most wholesome content on the internet.

I'm an American. My father felt a great connection to Britain from his heritage and I grew up on UK tv reruns and many books. Its nice to see some recipes that I feel some kinship of my own now. Thanks.

10 yrs ago I spent some time working as a farmhand in the UK after completing mandatory army service in my home country.
One of the highlights of the day for me, was to go down to the local pub after all the work on the farm was done, and have some wonderfull savoury pies that they served.
These bring back those memories and I will deffinetly try them out.
Thank you John for such amazing and easy to follow recipes.

Oo, Steak and Ale is the best pie hands down. With mash, peas and gravy, it's fantastic!

I work in a pub as a member of the bar staff. The ladies in the kitchen never cease to amaze me with how good the food is especially the steak and ale pie. Coming in early I see them getting the first pull on our Johns and Guinness in a big jug for it. We get through quite a lot of smooth in the pub but it helps us make sure the Guinness is rotated and fresh. Id definitely recommend adding a can of Guinness if anyones thinking of doubling this recipe up. I always get a portion of pie with chips peas and gravy.
