The fact that you put on a Steve outfit for SPECIFICALLY the Blue's Clues game and none of the others makes me happier than you'll ever know.

the semi creepy error screen made me realize how well a creepypasta using this console would work. The games constantly telling you to do things with their slightly janky voice acting, things appearing behind you in the camera, things interacting with you on camera and it effecting real life. Creepypasta gold mine.

I cant believe that you bought THREE of these machines, all of which were broken in the same way, and you still bought another one. i also cannot believe that it actually worked

"it's kind of hard to perform an autopsy when the patient springs back to life after being shipped to the morgue"
so true???

5:39 "it's Frederica's real birthday" sounds really funny out of context, but it makes sense when you know that Fred does a bit of saying it's her birthday every day in the show

i'm still finding shards of iridescent plastic everywhere cluebert why would i do this to me

And, as usual, the broken thing mysteriously starts to work again as soon as you try to show someone the problem. I swear the gremlins are just trying to gaslight us.

Fun Fact: Danny Phantom's appearance in the show was actually designed by Stephen Silver, further proving that Butch Hartman is the biggest fraud in the cartoon industry.

Just started watching this video but I was working at Hasbro when this was being made! I did the voice over for the instructional segment as a kid (it was me and another boy if I remember correctly. And they kept having him repeat a line with the word “button” because he was pronouncing it “bud’n” 😭) I personally know the main developers! I have so many stories about this console; I’m glad you are covering it!

I always adore how you don’t judge the game as an adult/parent like other YouTubers do, but as a child [of the perfect age to have enjoyed a product if you had one as a kid.] games aren’t penalised for being too simple, they’re simple because they’re for actual babies! It’s refreshing to see someone go ‘oh the Dora game was fun’ instead of ripping into the fact that it’s a Dora game, yaknow?

i like that each ion you pulled out at the start gets less and less shiny

im sorry but that error screen would have absolutely terrified me as a child and i know because the leapster2's "Low Battery" warning screen literally gave me nightmares lol

How in the HELL does ANYONE manage to find 4 of the same console, let alone something as niche as the Hasbro ION.

Working on electronics with a loose cat must be living in extreme hard mode. But the presence of a cat does soothe the soul during frustrating moments of troubleshooting.
