In the USA food additives are allowed until proven harmful, in europe food additives have to be proven "not harmful" before they are allowed.

They eventually banned BVO in the US in 2024, it was banned in the UK in 1970 and the EU in the 80's

There are many videos of Americans in Europe who lose weight during their stay because the food is better quality.

It's because Big Pharma controls both the food and medical care in the USA , They need you to become sick to profit from you .. In the UK they need you to stay healthy to profit from you because your taxes pay for the NHS

High fructose corn syrup exists in most processed foods in the US. It is extremely damaging to health and is more addictive than heroin. It is banned in the EU and the UK.

Generally American bread cannot be sold in Europe because the amount of sugar in it classifies it as cake!

US; Let's get some apple dye it and add some chemicals to make it taste like strawberries.
UK; Just use strawberries.
News flash; The US has found that adding chemicals and dye, they have found a way to make strawberries taste and look like apple.

Probably mentally and physically 😂

FYI: In the US, the corn farmers get huge tax savings and monetary support fromm tthe government... Mainly to supply to the food manufacturers to produce 'HFCS' (aka 'High Fructose Corn Syrup'), which is a natural, but highly addictive, sugar. Start checking your food and drink label ingredients for HFCS, because you will find it in SO MANY products. It is in soft (soda) drinks, cereals (aimed at kids), candies/sweets, ALL kinds of processed foods (even those foodstuffs that in the UK, Europe & other parts of the world, would NOT have ANY ADDED sugar!!!).
Why? Because Americans from a young age are 'conditioned' to expect and want 'sweet' foods/drinks. Once 'hooked' you taste the sweeteness and NOT all the other additives for extending 'shelf-life' or chemical colourings (i.e. Red Dye 40, Yellow 5 et al) used in place of more costly 'natural' colourings etc. The winners are the Corn Farmers, the chemical producers and the food manufacturers VERSUS the American consumers... As a Brit who has been visiting the US for 45+ years, I avoid (as far as practical), eating US processed foods and look for the organic or natural alternatives, but it can be expensive!

It's all about money, the more americans that get sick equals a LOT of money spent in healthcare (which they pay a lot for)

0:46 err.. I'd answer BOTH.  Mentally and Physically.

We are closer to ports and have great delivery services so our food is fresh so we don't need preservatives and additives

The Untied States of America feeds it's citizens additive loaded food because the food producers are in cahoots with big pharma, feed them rubbish, make them sick and big pharma will clean up, it's not rocket science 😂

In the US, profit before people.

A very good next move for RFK in the US having made the Carcinogenic Food Dyes and the Brominated thing Illegal is to make High Fructose Corn Syrup Illegal as well, HFCS is not only highly addictive but it is extremely unhealthy, its why Europe uses Cane Sugar, less addictive and healthier, although CS isn't healthy either, its just Healthier.

Also if the US wants to start selling the food it produces (especially the Meat) in countries in the EU, UK and Australia then the FDA needs to ban at least 98% of whats put in the food (processed and not processed alike), completely abolish battery farming (allowing all livestock to move around and be taken better care of)  The food Standard difference between the UK/Rest of the Western World and the US is more than just what goes into the processed food, its the entire food industry from farm to store.

When you have for profit health care why would you make your food to a higher standard than elsewhere in the world?
Poor food quality will often result in poor health and health conditions which will need medical treatment, one hand is washing the other, similarly the US has for profit prisons, guess which country has more people in prison and for relatively minor crimes, coincidence maybe?

Something is only illegal when it becomes law. The government are not making these law because your ill health is making them money because you're paying for health care

The EU and UK have some pretty strict rules when it comes to certain chemicals in foods, the US allows some that are known carcinogens for example. We also favour real fruit in fruit drinks & fizzy drinks rather than synthesised flavour. Which is why our orange fanta looks like actual orange juice and not a radioactive orange thing.

Here's the thing, I firmly believe that it is intentional in the US and it has nothing to do with costs. They want people to get ill, because over there health is a business not an human right. Over here we want our food to be as healthy as it can be (even the unhealthy options) because we want our citizens to be healthy, we don't want them to visit the Drs often or feel like they need to. Because we don't make money out of our sick so it just makes sense to try to help stay healthy.

In the US it is very much a business (and a highly over priced one at that - some items literally have 14,000% profit margin on them like saline bags). The US don't care about their citizens being healthy so long as they aren't at risk of immediate death.

He's completely wrong on the BHT thing. It IS permitted in Europe and approved as a food additive, it is restricted in beauty products however. We call it E321, most companies have voluntarily removed it due to public demand, but it is allowed to be used in food.

i love the comparison of whats worse, british or american food while in the end its a choice between the plague and cholera 😂

I couldn't disagree with you more. Over in the US, of course you can enjoy the food over there "without guilt" - but SURELY you'd want to be informed what you are eating? Let's be clear, nobody is saying that McDonalds fries are good for you, but that's the UK version. The US ones have Genetically modified ingredients in them, including the main ingredient of silly putty!  Why on earth would you want to eat them?

I also find it amusing when you said "of course we wouldn't expect the oatmeal to have real strawberries in it" - lol why not? Ours does. The fact that they use a piece of apple, dye it red, and then flavour it with a petroleum based flavouring, and add loads of sugar rather than just put in small pieces of strawberries in tells you everything.

There's another great video done by the channel IWRocker where he compares Fanta in the US and the UK - they are completely different tastes AND completely different colours. It might be interesting for you to react to that :)
