THE VISITOR follows Anna back to the farmhouse where her mother waits: late summer light, a quiet kitchen, the small rituals of two people who know each other by heart. But memory has its own rules, and some visits happen for reasons neither of them can say out loud.

A short film about grief, memory, and the places love keeps returning to.

You mixed good story and some absolutely wonderful generations with, unfortunately, a great deal of sloppiness. At 1:05 there is one coffee cup on the counter next to the sink, in the next shot at 1:07, there are two cups there while she pours, even though in the earlier shot, the woman is standing way over to the right towards the corner. It doesn't cut together. At 1:06, there are three chairs on one side of the table and two on the other, then at 1:16 there is only one chair on each side of the table. At 1:32, the table now appears different and narrower. The coffee pot at 1:08 changes to a completely different one at 1:32. The coffee cup is sitting next to a plant at 1:28, which, even though it's a nice shot, is totally out of place, because it is being clutched by the Anna character in front of her in the previous shot. At 1:34 she asks "you want coffee?" when that dialogue should have sufficed with "more?" since she already had some. The table appears different and in a different position between shots. At 3:34 Anna opens a refrigerator that doesn't exist at 1:34. When the woman sits down at 1:42, she has no hands coming out of her sleeves. And that's just the kitchen scenes, I could go on and on -- the reference to the car that is obviously not there, so many of the details, shot to shot that are off. There is so much good here -- many of the shots have wonderful detail with subtlety and microexpressions. But a lack of continuity and attention to detail kills it -- the inconsistencies just scream! This project could be fixed; and I'd love to see that. If not, better luck on your next project.

Nice try but the script and audio needed a little work. The sound fx are a bit too big, the voices are a little bland AI sounding and what was that 'look at that kitchen '? The pic was a garden scene. Also 'drive carefully'. She obviously parked her car a long way away. And AI don't do tears very well as they instantly flood the face. But it does make a change from the scifi stuff around.
