Retirees Frank and Marlene live with their beloved dog Alfredo - more than just a pet, he's the glue holding their fractured relationship together. Loved the responses of the daughter vs her boyfriend! The daughter who grew up around these parents and harbored long-standing confusion about their relationship, and the boyfriend who had no such baggage and was just a nice human being. Loved this short film that tells us so much in less than half an hour❤️

A dog is the closest thing to undying devotion you’ll ever find. If you’ve never had a doggy friend, you’ve missed out on something wondrous.🌹

I wasn’t expecting how this short film made me feel….not at all . A masterpiece of emotion. Thank you so much.

Out of all the people this world has created, with all the roads I could have taken and all the lives I could have lived, some impossible miracle of timing allowed my story to cross paths with yours.

Great movie. I found myself actually willing her to go woof woof to stop the snoring and she did! I think the dog died of exhaustion from the effort to be the bridge over an ever-widening chasm between the two.

Bravo, well done. Alfredo was the only joy they shared, in the grief of losing him, they bonded and found new joy with one another.

Such a sad story of how people waste their precious lives bickering instead of loving and appreciating each other.. it’s true of so many people… such a waste of valuable life

A couple having spent years and years, a whole lifetime, substituting true affection and intimacy throughout the connection with somebody little, cute and innocent, like a dog or a baby. Never having been able to communicate otherwise than indirectly.

"Know thyself" was the best known Delphic maxim one which originated in the 6th century B.C.. Know your limits. Mortals are mortal.
Odysseus was offered the eternal life of a deathless god by Calypso, but he chose not to accept and instead to accept his mortality. This short movie is both funny and tragic, with a kind of Delphic twist.
