Getting low isn't a problem. It's getting back up again..😅

I’m an old boring photographer distracted by music when words are spoken.

Stick your camera on a monopod, and turn it upside down. You can take a photo from as low as you like, without bending a leg.
You can use the self-timer to make the shot, or remote release..
You can also use the monopod the right way up and raise it way above eye-level if you wish.
I use my monopod more than my tripod.

4:33 The right way to take photos from lower angles. I see so many portrait photographers lying on the ground like idiots for no good reason. When you use the articulating LCD screen and just bend, you're much more flexible and can move and change perspectives and angles much more quickly. Plus you don't get dirty! (Just a random rant lol)

I often use a waist level finder.

Screw Tube ads & the annoying fukn pop ups!!!!!!!!

I have trouble putting socks on and picking up my dogs poop... but still able to roll around in the dirt when hiding behind my camera 😊

First time realised a natural benefit of being Short (5 ft. 1 in) as a hobbyist photographer.
Thanks

Short but to the point and thought-inspiring.  Love those examples!

A small number of camera bodies have tilting EVFs, adding one more choice.

I'm not exactly sure why but I've always just naturally wanted to take photos from waist level so I guess I'm ahead of the game there, but only recently have been considering raising raising the camera over my head more often for another different perspective. This video is a good reminder to do so more often.

🪄The stool, that 1-2 pound three-legged foldable thingy one may stuff into the backpacks side pocket.
It eases on both legs and back, and on getting back up too.
But do get one with little feet on it. It prevents you from sinking into the ground.

I'm almost 68 and indeed, raising from a squatting position can be a challenge.  Moreover, I'm using film range finders so, no flipping LCD screens to help me😉

Disabled AND aging. Some very solid tips so thank you!

That's the reason I only use cameras with a tilting display. Btw: So funny, I just spent a quite long time to optimze a picture of that big hall in the British Museum which you show as title. I held the camera above my head.

I do try to keep these things in mind but it can be easy to forget/be lazy and shoot from eye level. Good video, and I like your sweater too.

I am 80 and still love to photograph from below being on my knees. To get up again is depending on a helping hand or a wall or something to lean on.

Recently I've been doing street photography shooting from the hip using zone focusing at 35mm. After some practice I now have a pretty good sense of what's in the frame and in the zone of focus without looking at the LCD, and with a little cropping and straightening the results have been quite acceptable. This technique allows for stealthy shots without a telephoto lens and a lower perspective which gives the street photos more intimacy and immediacy.

Great choice of vinyl record 👍

So pleased that I am a member of your target audience and amongst similar 'old' people! At least the ones who have commented. Three score and ten is the time that things start to stiffen up, change or fall off!
Great video as usual, coupled with sound advice! I still try different perspectives, low till the knees start chattering, if out with a tripod, I some times take a camping chair, saves the back, hips and knees, arthritis in the hands is another issue!😀
