So glad to see you appreciate the wonderful work of YES! Thank you! Been a Yes fan for over 50 years. Found them at 15, am now 68. Their music never disappoints, nor does it age. It touches our souls. Too many just don’t even give them a chance. Glad you do. Please continue! ☮️❤️😎🎶🐾
This song earned this great reaction!. Double album with only four 20 minutes songs...three beautiful journeys to go!. This is my all time favourite album. Can you imagine there are Yes fans that advise "YES exploring YouTubers" to skip this album?😱😭 And you got it.... Install yourself without being disturbed...play it....close your eyes...and live it!!!!
Otherworldly! YES were on a roll of unimaginable creativity in this era. I must have waited all my life for this moment when I was only 17 in 1973 seeing this Live in sea of tears of pure amazement. This was so groundbreaking & nothing like this at the time which caused all kinds of controversary among fans. The 'dawn of Light' opening is uniquely original then the 2nd movement is like a rush of dopamine! LOL. The song is pure bliss throughout. I've seen them perform it many times. This YES deep dive never fails to take me into ecstasy
Another early song based on Far Eastern (Hindu) holy books. A difficult album for many (me, for many years), each side is arguably a little long. Nonetheless, it’s a magnificent achievement. Production is excellent at creating vast space in the mix, as well as ebbs and flows in the music, like the tides and waves of the ocean. IIRC, Chris felt that his best bass is on this album. IIRC also, they recorded it in a studio with haybales in it to bring them closer to nature (they also wanted to record it in a forest, but it was obviously impossible in 1973). They were certainly close to a certain weedy herb 😂❤️ Drummer is Alan White, who previously drummed with the Plastic Ono Band and John Lennon. All of these themes recur across an entire universe on this album. The more I hear the more I remember and want to listen to it all. Thanks Tre as always and whover picked this ❤ Defo worth that cone 🎉🎉 You done Supper’s Ready by Genesis, Tre? I’ll have to look it up. A minute longer than this and FIRE ❤
YES, the greatest show on earth. Wonderful reaction, you're a peach. One of 4 pieces on the album, so you're going to have to plan to drive the speed limit so you can hear the whole album like you're supposed to like we did. ✨️🎶👑🎶✨️ You can record your trip for reaction
Sorry if this gets long winded..but i gotta start by saying it has been an absolute pleasure watching you the past few years on your musical journey. I mean could you imagine yourself sitting through this whole thing when you first started, or even imagining stuff like this existed. Most of the people i know…people who grew up in this era, listening to rock music, can’t get through this. You can not only get through it, but APPRECIATE it. Kudos to you brother! Ok…that said…i freakin LOVED this piece of music from the first time i heard it as a kid. This is side one of a double album (so…4 sides). The rest i feel could have been combined to make another great side. Just my opinion. I still listen to the whole thing once or twice a year…but THIS side….just beautiful. It did take a toll on the band and Rick Wakeman eventually quit after itvwas recorded Last thing…said it before and i will say it again….bands like this can go more places in the course of a song than many artists will go in a career. ✌
