I'm envisioning a new term: Egnorant.

They will argue about anything, and they will demonstrate nothing.

Egnor logic:  Unless you know and understand all the arguments, you can't refuse to accept the arguments and therefore must accept the arguments.   It has all the charm of a first year philosophy student.

Mr. Egnog cannot hear a reasonable argument because his mind is closed.

Well Egnor is insufferable

Michaels patronising tone would get under my skin in no time, which is what he wants to do. I think Matt held it together very well

Ignore Egnor is as arrogant as they come.

Michael Egnor  made a fool of himself. How embarrassing.

“I won’t tell you what my argument is, so if you can’t tell me what it is, word for word, then I win”

If this philosophical drivel is what Egnor puts forth as “evidence” for god, I remain completely unconvinced.

So, according to Egnor,  Dillahunty cannot reject the arguments for god because he doesn't understand them. If that's the case, then Dillahunty wouldn't be able to accept them if he doesn't understand them either. What a profoundly stupid argument.

Something undefined by science isnt automatically supernatural.

In cosmology, a "singularity" usually means "our equations stop working here", not "we found a supernatural thing". It’s a marker of a theory being pushed past its domain, not a discovery about reality itself. In general relativity, if you run the math backward, density and curvature blow up to infinity. Physicists take that as a clear sign the model is incomplete. We expect quantum gravity, which we don't have fully yet, to change that story. Calling it supernatural is a category jump. "Supernatural" is a philosophical or theological claim, not a physics result. It's fine to hold that belief, but it's not something the Big Bang model itself establishes.

Egnor is obnoxious.

And yet there are people who think Egnor is a smart man.

Matt demonstrated exceptional patience in the face of incredible silliness.

Never seen Egnor before. What a total imbecile 😂

Egnor: Arrogant and ignorant

As a man I think I finally understand “mansplaining”.

Fitting he’s wearing red.

“You’re using science as a crutch for your atheism” ….

Well of course, using the evidence as a crutch to reach a conclusion is the only way any opinion is reached!
