Dr. Panda

The Wild Thornberrys was one of Nickelodeon’s most successful cartoons. But after five seasons and more than 90 episodes, it suddenly vanished, and all because of… you. Dr Panda is here to tell you the whole story.

I revisit rare video games from our childhoods here: @dr.pandagames

Thornberrys x Rugrats was such a weird crossover, they were such conceptually different shows

Yep. I pressed the big red "Cancel the Thornberrys" button in Nick HQ. It was totally worth the 20 Mcdonalds breakfast sandwiches (INCLUDING hashbrown sides) offered to me by an ominous shadowy figure that sounded suspiciously like Kermit the Frog. What can I say? I was 8.

"Ugly but realistic"- There's a certain grounded feel to Klasky-Csupo, but realistic it is not. Perhaps "Ugly but charming" is more appropriate?

Rugrats Go Wild was supposed to be a television movie, but test audiences convinced Nick to reanimate and edit it into a theatrical release. Same went for the Hey Arnold movie.

I loved this show as a child

Wild Thornberrys lost touch with its roots. The final episode was literally about Eliza having a crush on some boy band member. That’s why it ended.

FUN FACT

Donnie is voiced by none other than Michael Peter Balzary AKA “Flea” the bassist from The Red Hot Chili Peppers

The Rugrats parents had subplots too though

SpongeBob. Wild Thornberrys. Fairly Odd Parents. Rugrats.

Long ago, the four nicktoons lived in together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the SpongeBob nation attacked.
