Rest in Peace Jeffrey Garcia. We thank you for providing us the voice of Sheen Estevez.

Creating a film first so you have a higher budget and create higher quality models for your show? That’s brilliant!!!

I remember when the 'When Pants Attack' aired and was excited that the movie had got a cartoon.

Cartoons aren't just made the same anymore it's a shame that Nickelodeon only airs SpongeBob now

I remember hating the shift to live action from cartoons on nickelodeon and ultimately made me stop watching the channel. The slop of reality TV shows were everywhere. teenage me was happy to see literally anything else during the 2000s. Disney was getting bogged down with live action, and broadcast cartoon blocks like 4kids TV shut down.  It really felt like the end of an era where kids could be kids and tv began pushing them to be mini-adults with no sense of magic and fun.

It was a weird period for Nickelodeon when they were trying to be more like  Disney Channel during  the late 2000s early 2010s since Disney channel was gaining success with their own teen shows and movies at the time

Those Jimmy Neutron trident commercials always had me thinking that Jimmy Neutron was their spokesmodel

I find it grin worthy that "Retroville" is actually the Texas city of Houston, who used to have motto "One foot in the past, and one stepping into the future!", and also nodding toward the retro-futurism that Houston had all through downtown at he time thanks to NASA.The Candy bar is based off a place that is now the 59 Dinner in down town on Highway I-59.

This video should be called the Schneider verse killed jimmy neutron.

3:00 Those shorts weren't the reason behind Jimmy's popularity. The real reason was a banner that appeared in the middle of all the other shows airing on Nickelodeon at the time, in which Jimmy would walk in from one side of the screen and interrupt whatever was happening just to wave to the audience or something similar and then he walk off the screen.

That random appearance led me and other kids in school to speculate about who he was and when the movie was announced, everyone wanted to see it to find out more about the mysterious kid who appeared randomly in every other show.

Keith and Mike Gasaway also confirmed in different interviews that Nick basically stopped giving them notes after a while during production, which they took as a signal that season 3 would be the last. The "Season 4" in question was a fan-made pitch; with some backed support from those who worked on Jimmy, to Nickelodeon to try to revive the show. Once again, Nick declined but did allude that they might be open to revisiting the series in the future. Which they ALMOST did, according to John in a separate interview. (Based on how other Nicktoons were also treated; even NOW, changes in management likely means certain shows will be on the chopping block regardless of success.)

You did great research with this one. considering no animator seemed to know the cancellation or shy away from the question like when we do with an NDA, it seems like they weren't even told about the demographic shift or executive reasons. Kind of sad but also in line with poor Viacom executive decisions.

"I'm sure you remember this logo that appeared at the end of every episode" not only I remember it, I heard the "hi I'm Paul" in my head

Preteen girl live action shows were the great tragedy of 00s animation

From 2000 to 2004, you can watch newer Nicktoons at the time like ChalkZone, Jimmy Neutron, Pelswick, My Life as a Teenage Robot in the same time along classic Nicktoons like Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, Real Monsters and The Angry Beavers! It was a silver but great era until after 2004-2006 when the Pop nation attacked!

“ Brain Blast”

Fun fact to the original title was how iCarly killed Jimmy neutron

Wait DNA productions made Olive the Other Reindeer?!

It’s crazy cuz a lot of us were in the same stage of life changing into that new demographic and just kinda forced us to go along with it.
