Fun fact: The actor playing HAL, Douglas Rain, was only given his lines with no context, so as to keep HAL as monotone as possible. Obviously It worked.

Fun fact: Stanly Kubrick was offered to direct The Exorcist, but he turned it down because he wanted something that could be on his scale of creativity. A little while later he ended up directing The Shining.

Fun fact: Gene Kelly actually refused to talk to Malcolm McDowell during a party they were both attending after he saw A Clockwork Orange.

Stephen King: It's a story about a crazy fangirl who kidnaps her favorite author for killing off a main character.

JK Rowling: sweats nervously

Funny thing about that shaky cam footage in Ledgers Joker scene, apparently Ledger made it himself, and gave it to the director as an idea of how to do the scene, and the director was like "fuck, that shit's crazy, we'll just put it in as is, it's terrifying."

I cannot believe Malcolm McDowell wasn't even nominated for an Oscar for his performance as Alex. Talk about a snub...

i thought #1 was ganna be Cat in the hat

if you thought Annie was scary in the movie she actually amputated his leg in the book and licked rat's blood off her fingers.. the movie is pretty tame in comparison XD

I have just one response, Critic.
"WH-HAH! WH-HAH! WH-HAH!"

Based on the Critic's description, Alex should've been a dentist.

All I can say is: "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy".

That music box makes me cry everytime....poor Davy Jones.

The lady from Misery scared the shit out of me the first time I watched it!! She is so good at being scary.

i found hannibal lecter intimidating in silence of the lambs because the way he talks and almost has a passive way about him made it feel like he was always in control, and because of being inside a cell, it didnt make you feel safe because he was stuck there, it made you feel scared because you couldnt get to him. he just sat there always knowing the people's psyche, already predicting their next move, and it made it feel like he was at the head, controlling everyone, and you couldnt do anything about it.

I saw Nosferatu recently and the dude that plays Orloc is scary af. Seriously.

Bill Sykes... He's the reason there are parts of Oliver that I still fast forward.

Annie Wilkes... I write fanfiction.  As a writer (even just as a hobby, not professionally) that kind of stalking is seriously disturbing.

Dark Knight Joker... I think one of the creepiest parts of this version of the Joker is that he truly believes his actions are "normal"

I can't watch the Excorcist.   Even just clips for reviews or ads creep me out enough I doubt I'll ever watch it.

HAL9000... That voice.  That calm, quiet voice.

4:14 so that's what fangirls the horror movie would've looked like

Disagree about Hannibal Lecter. I think because he's a master manipulator, and because he's also been a professional psychiatrist, he's just used to being a charming guy, and he uses to odd charm to his advantage in getting what he wants. Buffalo Bill is mentally deranged, but Hannibal Lecter is necessarily. He's psychotic, but not outwardly crazy, which, to me, makes him creepier, especially when he does lash out.
