The Claudia Schiffer joke gets me every time! ;-)

Emma Thompson smoothing the bedspread before leaving the bedroom gets me every year. Small gesture loaded with meaning. Attempting to gain some control when the bottom has fallen out of your world.
Wonderful acting.

The opening Heathrow scene was genuine. They filmed people then approached them and asked if they could use the footage.

I can't believe this is your first time, this is one of best romcoms ever, it's a recurring rerun on Danish tv every Christmas.

This has to be the best reaction to this movie i've watched, The way you understood each character and each relationship and not judge them was truly heartwarming. Thank you for this awesome reaction. Merry Christmas

36:06 He probably met her when she was already dating his best friend, so he decided not to do anything. Also, some people misunderstand the kiss; she doesn’t have feelings for him, the kiss is just a show of appreciation and something he wanted and probably needed. That’s why he said, “enough”. That’s as far as it goes.

I remember this film as part of an unofficial DVD trilogy, with "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and "Notting Hill".

I lost my mother at the age of 9, 33 years ago. Now that I'm older the funeral scene gets me every time, but more because of Liam Neeson and how I think about what my father went through at the time.

The scene where the wife confronts her husband about the necklace was not in the script originally- Alan Rickman insisted the storyline would not be right without a confrontation. He was not only a brilliant actor but a great director as well. It is kind of ironic that the cheating husband is played by Alan Rickman that spend his whole life with the girl he fell in love as a teenager…

As a UK expat in the US, I can confirm the accent works.

"Don't do drugs... Become a pop star and they give them to you for free!" Classic holiday movie line 😂

They made a short for the Red Nose day charity. It showed where everyone was after so many years.

45:38 Did you not catch that "Carol" was... Claudia Schiffer??

the Emma Thompson post present opening crying scene is so powerful that as a man I feel 2nd hand guilt....

If you dig this ensemble approach to romance cinema, you should check out Curtis' first film he did in this vein, "Four Weddings and a Funeral" (also with Hugh Grant, Rowan "Mr. Bean" Atkinson, and other big British stars of the early '90s). In this case, it follows a group of friends who attend four weddings and a funeral over a relatively short period of time, as they grapple with their own love lives (or lack thereof).

I watch this movie every single year before Christmas. And every year, I feel like I'm a different character based on the type of year I had.

It's my Christmas tradition.

Not only is "Love Actually" one of my favorite Christmas movies, but it is also one of my favorite all time movies. Loved your reaction. Keep reacting!

The rowan atkinson (Mr bean) character was originally scripted as a guardian angel... although it never made the final cut, youll notice both times he appears, he's at a pivotal moment and influences the course of the characters.... (delaying the necklace purchase till his wife appears and later blocking the view of the security guard in the airport so the boy can connect with his love..)
