Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 reaction! We’re getting VERY close to the end of the Harry Potter journey… and things are getting DARK. ⚡

WE’RE ALMOST THERE. 😭

Harry, Ron, and Hermione are leaving Hogwarts behind and heading out to find the Horcruxes. I have absolutely no idea what I’m getting myself into with this one. 😂

Also…

DOBBY?! 😭🧦

This is my first time watching the entire Harry Potter series, so I’m going into Deathly Hallows Part 1 completely blind. No spoilers, no idea what’s coming, and honestly… I’m starting to get a little nervous knowing we’re this close to the end. 😂

Hope you guys enjoy the reaction!

Fun fact. The guy that informs everyone that Mad-Eye is dead, is the real life son of the actor that plays Mad-eye. Brendan Gleeson as Mad-Eye Moody and Domhnall Gleeson as Bill Weasley.

Harry is a descendant of the third brother. That's how he inherited the invisibility cloak

45:16 Spolier alert: There's one scene from the book that's completely omitted in the movie. Wormtail tries to stop Harry and Ron from escaping the cellar, and when Harry reminds Wormtail that he owes him for saving his life in Prisoner of Azkaban, Wormtail hesitates. Because of this, the silver hand that Voldemort gave Wormtail strangles him to death

Even after watching this series repeatedly, I still miss the wizarding world. It's why I watch reactions. Yours have been fantastic. I hope you do some other beloved classics like Jaws, The Sixth Sense, Forrest Gump, for example.

I've seen most HP reactions on YouTube. Not once has anyone commented on Hermione's voice when she says "coming, mum". The trembling, on the verge of tears

Dumbledore's father killed three muggle boys who attacked his young daughter Ariana after they saw her doing magic. After that Ariana was mentally unstable and didn't attend Hogwarts. Dumbledore's father was sent to Azkaban

When they were filming the chase scene in the woods, the director told the trio to race each other and Watson beat Radcliffe and Grint

@bettygorman4545 1 day ago

The last two movies were filmed together. The scene where they jump into the fireplace using blue powder to escape was the last seen film filmed for both movies.

"Umb*tch" OMG that was awesome!
I don't know if you noticed, but Mad Eye's eye was on Umb*tch's door. She took his eye and put it on her door! That's really sick!

Bill delivering the news of Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody's death is worse when you know that their actors, Brendan and Domhnall Gleeson, are father (Brendan) and son (Domhnall) in real life.

Also: Voldemort wasn't hating on Lucius' wand. Lucius fell out of favor with Voldemort because he failed to deliver the Prophecy in Order Of The Phoenix.

RIP Hedwig, Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody & Dobby

Re: the mirror Harry's been looking at
One of the casualties of Book 5 was a hand mirror Sirius had given to Harry but went unnoticed until the very end after his death. It was meant to be for two-way communication, but, again, Harry didn't even notice it until the end of the book (which he realized would've made confirming Sirius' safety that much easier). In Book 7, Harry accidentally breaks the mirror, but notices what looks like a blue eye peering back at him from time to time; he even wonders if the eye is Dumbledore's, impossible as it sounds.

Umbridge said the woman is not a witch because Deatheaters don't recognize muggle born witches and wizards. They wouldn't consider Hermoine a witch even though she is one of the best

@NicStryker1027 12 hours ago

It's cannon now Hermoine knows what Harry is packing after taking the polyjuice potion...

@burkhardt7694 15 hours ago (edited)

The prophecy from the Order of the Phoenix is why he must be the one to kill Harry. "None shall life while the other survives". You'll find out what that means in part 2

@marleyburr4098 1 day ago

One of the great failings of the movies is Kreacher. In the books, when Harry sees the vision of Sirius in the ministry in Order of the Phoenix, he first checks in at Sirius' house to make sure that it's real. It's Kreacher who lies on Voldemort's orders confirming Sirius went to the ministry and Harry has a tough time not blaming him for being partly responsible for Sirius' death. In Deathly Hallows, Harry forgiving him but also their treatment of Kreacher resulting in a full turnaround of Kreacher's loyalty to Harry is a very touching development that gets completely ignored.

Dobby's grave was filmed on a beach in Wales. For years, fans were leaving socks there in remembrance and it started to affect the ecosystem of the area. The mayor had to pass an ordinance to keep people from disturbing the area. People still come to pay homage to Dobby but now leave things that won't harm the environment such as small stones or flowers.

@apoorvsalar9452 2 days ago

They played you again LOL. Making you dress like Dobby for this one.

@ginnyjollykidd 17 hours ago

One thing I like about this movie is that they didn't use cgi to do the shot of the 7 Potters changing clothes. They might have used different shots fed into one computer and used CGI to stitch them together, but each was a separate shot of Daniel Radcliffe. The shooting technique is old, having been used since about the 1940's, so over 80 years. Amazing what you can still use effectively after 80 years, eh?

The part where Umbridge is interrogating the woman seems to go over a lot of people's heads.
Umbridge is operating under pure blood assumptions and circular reasoning. She's starting with the denial of the existence of muggle-born witches and wizards. So, if magical people only come from magical parents, and her parents are muggles, then she is not a witch. And since wands only choose witches, her possession of the wand, as "not a witch" means she must have stolen the wand.
