Amazing, simple motors. Easy to work on.

Great video and always good to know what exactly went wrong. I like the idea of trying to throw in another piston and con rod and getting to to run again and with the parts you probably have lying around and your mechanical skills, it probably wouldn't really take you much time and should make good content.

Great vid mate. Always interesting to see what happened. Back in the day - 60's and 70's (yeh, I'm older haha) all we used was tap water for coolant. It shows. The engine rebuild would be interesting, up to you. Might go and have a look at your merch. Thanks for the post

honestly its in surprisingly decent shape for having thrown a rod.  The head isnt crunched up and theres no hole in the block, what a tough little thing.

Great honest content mate, give someone an anchor and frame that bent broken rod. new viewer recently discovered your channel and enjoying everything so far. Thanks from the central coast NSW

That's the sound of disappointment 😂

Odd failure.  I’m surprised the bolts were not broken.

Wow, the conrod is so short it could never go through the block! Maybe the bolts were'nt torqued after a backyard rebuild?
I had a Falcon panel van years ago that threw a rod, it had been knocking and bad oil pressure for a while until it went bang. It kept running and I drove it home with holes in the block and sump
Thanks for the video!
