I’m not a theologian, but I thought this was a thoughtful and successful effort to relate NDE accounts to the Bible. I appreciated the diligence, care, and respect for Scripture shown throughout.

Steve Miller, thank you for pointing out the danger of psychedelic use, it is very real indeed. I am myself abused this type of drugs and nearly destroyed my life. Luckily, the Lord reached to me in my darkest time and revealed the truth and healed me and protected me.
I am so thankful to God and His mercy.

Love all the points you two explain. Thank you.

Very interesting as always, great points brought up. This is the first time I have heard Steve Miller talk,  I found him easy to follow. Thank you very much.

I SAW THE PEARLY GATES when I was 8 years old. I had no idea what I had seen was. I didn't know that I had died because I was resuscitated fairly quickly. It was only years later my Parents told me that I had died just as the ambulance reached the hospital.
I didn't know what the Pearly Gates was. When we learnt the Bible in School as Children, I always figured it was an iron gate with little white beads stuck on it. Only as a Grown-up did it dawn on me that those wonderful colors was the Pearly Gates.

Thank you @SeanMcDowell 👍 Great Shows! I hope you will continue to explore this Topic!

Always wonderful to see Dr Steve Miller on! Looking forward to this. 🙂🙏🏼

Thank you for these podcasts! So thought provoking!  Can't wait for the topic and discussion on the trinity. My husband has questions on this topic

I enjoyed this conversation very much - Esp Steve Miller giving glory to God in that NDE are still under His Sovereign Authority.
Well done.
Love these Tues talks!

Every time you have JP Moreland or Steve Miller I get excited and I know there’s a video i have to watch. Those two are my favourite guests on your show

Well done. I appreciate your work

FYI the letters wrt are an abbreviation for the phrase With Respect To

I agree when I listened to that at the end---the gentleman in the NDE video really latched onto New Thought/New Age beliefs, which as a former believer of that, I find it to actually be detrimental and a lie to think that God is just Love. He's so much more multidimensional than a 2D human emotion that is subjective and lacks context. I give you credit, Sean, for not pushing back in that conversation. New Thought is a slippery slope for Christians and turns into the religious buffet quite quickly. Thanks for the convos.

I had a spiritually transformative experience in 2011 and several more after that and it changed my life in so many incredibly good ways. I’m very interested in NDEs bc the aftereffects of my STE’s are the same as if I’d had an NDE. I believe Jesus is revealing himself in this manner and it will change the world. PTL! ❤
He is drawing us back to himself. It’s wonderful.

Based!

I absolutely love this subject ❤  I find it so fastening 😮

I like “vestibule to heaven”! Seems accurate.

I would love to see a series of interviews of a variety of folks (young, old, American and not, Christian, atheists and other faiths) who have verified NDE experiences, rather than researchers reporting of what they said.

Great Show Sean! I'd say get testimonies from people who went to heaven and people who went "the other way". And I'd get as many people from non Christian countries as well.

The clarity Dr. Steve Miller brings to this discussion is 😮. That was outstanding!  I heard the interview with Dr. van Lommel and I was really curious about a lot of the things I heard.  Also, I LOVE these Tuesday talks.  Thank you! 🙏🏻✝️❤️

In reference to the 51:00 minute mark, I had this wonderful experience after my closest sister passed. About a month after the funeral, I had a supernatural experience in which she was able to get a message through to me. It wasn't something I was thinking about at all. I was just continuing with my usual life and was writing in my journal.  While writing, and I've never experienced this before or since, it was like my mind went to sleep. However,  my hand kept writing. It was only like 4 seconds, just long enough to write the following:
"God is everything that you hope He will be for you."
When I read what I'd written, I was thrilled and I totally believe it. It's my opinion that people see the Lord as like themselves. Not someone strange or distant but your eternal soul-mate.
I think Heaven is going to be wonderful for everyone in it because of the prophecies that state, "God shall wipe away all tears..."  So maybe some of us will cry when we go through the Bema seat judgement, but we're still saved and we'll be happy in heaven when we get there. That's my take on the following verses...

Isaiah 25:8  He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.
Revelation 7:17  For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Revelation 21:4  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
"Even so come, Lord Jesus."
