Man, I don't know how you only have 7.89k subscribers. You have contributed so much to the Miata community.
I'll be here the day you reach your first 100k, and 1M <3
Cheers from the US!

Return of the King.

Good luck my friend, I'll be watching with interest 🙂

Great video as usual

The 1.6 is better than people imagine and I think we’re a bit of a tipping point with Mk2 cars. Three years ago I would have agreed that it wasn’t worth the effort or financial outlay but if the shell is sound I’d be tempted to persevere with a rolling restoration, esp with that colour. I think you’ll grow to love it 😂

I'm interested how mx5s can be stripped down and used for diy kit cars. Is there a catterham or buggy waiting in there? However car looks good enough just to stay as a mx5 or Miata as they say in the US! Best luck hope it starts soon. 😊

I have an NB I have put quite a lot of money in, but as I'm stupid I don't drive it a lot and now it has spent a whole year in my parking lot.
It still has some rust even though I had it repaired already, and I don't know if I want to keep taking care of this car but when I saw this video it gave me hope because my car is not near as bad as that one. My biggest issue is that I don't have a closed garage so I need to do all the work outside. Anyways I'm looking forward to seeing the next episodes!

good luck nice video

VVT + ITB 😁

You need an immobiliser unit and the matching ecu that lives under the passenger carpet. I think the mk2.5 has a different ecu connector blocks compared to the mk2.

My car 1999 1.8 car I bought in 2009 and ran it to 2012. Then the cam jumped three teeth due to a broken fan belt getting into the cambelt cover. It sat in the garage from 2012 to 2022 and it started after say 5 minutes of turning over. It needs the rear quarters sorted and there is a portion of the floor to sill panel rusted out drivers side. I will either sort it this year or scrap it as I have a 2018 184 bhp MK4 from new.

personally as its only a 1.6 uk car , it is not financially viable to put this back on the road.
not worth the time or effort , unless the car has sentimental value , you are probably better breaking it for spares and selling off what you dont need, then find another better base car to work on ( ideally a 1.8)

get it stripped and broken

Se trovi la Jdm  1.6 Ecu B6MC non ha immobilizer .

Title says brought, not bought. Nice video though

Have you put the immobiliser card back in and tried to start the car?

Si, you didnt get the one from thr thumbnail  ?🙄

Do you wear earring rings in your ears?

Where did you bring it?
