Why did I decide to park my KTM 1290 Super Adventure for off-roading and radically downsize? In this video, I tell you the whole truth about the process, the headaches of the last few months, and why, against all odds, my final decision was the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.

Taking a maxi-trail bike weighing over 240kg off-road as a novice wasn't the best way to enjoy it, so I started scouring the market for the perfect secondary motorcycle.

In this video, I analyze point by point all the options I tested and discarded, from mid-size adventure bikes (Tuareg, F900GS, Kove 800), through Scramblers (Triumph 400 XC), to the more off-road-oriented options (Voge 300 Rally, Rieju 307, KTM 390 ADV R).

There was a very tense final duel against another of the most sought-after motorcycles of the moment, where a couple of technical details regarding the engine, overall performance, and design philosophy completely changed everything.
