Thanks for asking me to hop on Lord Crofts 🙏🏽

4:21 "...that's not hype?" LMAO LK

LK just listening as JM describes Millia on the El Fuerte section

Making move names food names is indeed tasteful

Can't believe that we got through El Fuerte's whole section and no mention of EX Habanero backdash.

I take El Fuerte as seriously as Speedy Gonzales. He's a cartoony Mexican caricature, but he's charming af, and at the time, there wasn't THAT many Mexican character representation in games, so seeing one as silly as El Fuerte, despite being very "basic" in his representation, was genuinely a treat. Plus, not gonna lie, he's fun as fuck to play LOL

8:40 oc LK finally talks about arakune and it's not on his channel. That feels right

The morrigan super is called astral projection, darkness illusion is her lvl 3 lol

I think it's a bit much to say capcom didn't think about astral vision being able to gain meter for the next one. They clearly had that on their radar because they coded almost every other install to not be that way. I think the mistake was they thought astral vision would be harder to safely set up than it is because it has 11 frames of recocery whereas almost every other install has literally zero recovery frames, but doom missiles makes setting up safe astrals trivially easy.

11:14

Oh no

They abbreviated Blaz Blue Continuum Shift EXtend

Funnily enough, I think that most people hate Morrigan due to her Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 incarnation. Every other incarnation of Morrigan ranges from alright to bad.

I spit my theory before watching: Tekken 6 Bob. That guy was insane and dominated every tournament holy hell

14:30 Calamity Trigger was the only blazblue I bought on console. Within 2-3 weeks of netplay I was done due to facing arakune online.

not even a little surprised that LK likes el fuerte

I LOVED el fuerte I love the mix up combos and the fact that he was different

I feel like Morrigan's strong runaway game is also part of it. Even if you do escape the vortex of fireballs and try to pressure her, even without an assist to help her, SHE CAN JUST FLY AWAY.

Yo Tahichi mentioned 🙏 He's the Metera GOAT in Granblue.

Another thing about Morrigan JM didn't touch on is that on top of her regular fireballs, she has a slower Soul Drain fireball that steals meter on hit. That's already broken on its own, but the slower startup also means that she can vary her fireball pattern and make it even harder to escape. Getting hit by 1 or 2 Soul Drains basically gives her an entire bar of meter back. And as if that wasn't enough, Soul Drain makes her incredible in the Dark Phoenix matchup because, as long as she has X Factor, Morrigan can route combos that finish off Phoenix with soul drain to deny her Dark Phoenix mode and circumvent that mechanic entirely. If you don't think Morrigan is #1 in UMVC3, you haven't been paying attention to the modern metagame.

USF4 ex quesadilla got mega buffed + red focus were also huge buffs that added to people hating fuerte.

Morrigan, there's so much more you could've gone into. Not only is she mostly safe as she floods the screen with projectiles - her projectiles have among the higher durability in the game because there's no universal rule to projectile durability across the cast in umvc3. Also soul drain invalidates phoenix to a degree - meaning you invalidate an extraordinarily prevalent meta anchor. Shell kick cant be air thrown. She has high health. Her crouching hurtbox is shorter than ammy's iirc. Im sure theres a lot IM missing too, the longer you dig the more broken nonsense she has lol
