The perfect ending to an amazing story, easily a 10/10 finale!!

We can’t believe this show has come to an end, it’s been such an amazing journey watching it with you all. Thank you so much for all the love, support, and insights along the way, you guys made this experience unforgettable 🤍

I will never not be jealous of people getting to experience this finale for the first time

The last scenes of the series, when Zuko served tea to others, Zuko, as firelord, served tea to others. that was one of the best way of showing the characters' evolution from entitlement to empathetic.

@xainreaper6458 11 months ago

Fun fact btw. Zuko used all 4 bending styles in that last battle with Azula.
He stood his ground like an earthbender during that fire beam struggle.
The Double Helix Fire blast that took down Azula looks like a waterbender move, particularly the water vine tentacles Katara uses to strike.
And while he used the breakdance move that took out Zhao, he added a flame fan to it, like how Aang usually blasts air as he twirls himself up.

He DID take Iroh's lesson from the Bitter Work episode to heart. He learnt from all the 4 nation's style to become whole.

The Agni Kai between Zuko and Azula is the most beautiful and tragic fight in the show in my opinion. It was 2 kids who were manipulated from birth and put against each other for all of their lives. ATLA is a top 3 show OAT.

You boys are legends for posting the full four-part finale in the same day. 💪

"Avatar is just a kids show"
Then you watch it and realise it's more than just a kids show. It's peak.

@pc19991 11 months ago

I like that y'all immediately noticed that Zuko isn't beating Azula solely because he got stronger from the dragons or because she's spiraling mentally, but also because he incorporated other bending styles into his own firebending style, adding Aang, Katara and Toph's moves to his own moveset. It's canon that in raw power, Azula is significantly stronger than Zuko, but he's more flexible and can adapt on the fly.

The fact that azula is only 14 is sad as well as Toph not being able to know what's happening when sokka was holding onto her since she can see only with her feet

@BW-CZ 11 months ago

One detail I love is that Ty Lee literally ended up being part of a matched set, which she said she hated back on Ember Island. It's nice that she managed to get over it!

honestly azula's voice actress did such a good job, people start feeling sorry for azula in her cry. everyone always comments this but I think the VA said she hasn't watched that scene since filming because she really brought it from within her. all of that for a kid's show

13:43 It would not be the first time Ozai looked into the eyes of a 13 year old that didn’t want to fight him and chose violence.

@concavesmurf 6 months ago

50:52 Mark Hamill said the reason he agreed to voice Ozai, for what he thought was a “kids’ show,” is because after he read the script, the thing he loved most was that the show “didn’t talk down to kids, it talked up to them” — trusting that kids are capable of understanding big life concepts and lessons around things like imperialism and growth journeys. That’s why it’s a good show no matter how old you are, it never pandered.

Zuko learned from Waterbending, Airbending & Earthbending. The show has a way of depecting multiple characters learning from all four nations which is excellent writing

WHAT IS THIS ? THE FINALE ??????? I WAS EXPECTING NEXT WEEK TO SEE THESE 2. I LEGIT CAME BACK FROM THE PREVIOUS 2 EPISODES

21:00 AZULA LOST! As soon as she redirected it to someone outside of the Angi Kai she loses by default. She knew she was going to lose, so she used the opportunity to choose how she lost and took the petty option by "taking out” Katara. Which failed... and she still lost against Katara! Just shows you how deep she was gone from who she’s been the whole series. She’s still a kid :( so sad to see.

@InfinityKrompt 11 months ago

You have to remember the thing about Azula.. she's a mentally unstable, psychologically and emotionally manipulated and abused.. 14 year old girl. Its easy to forget that sometimes when you're watching but Zuko is the older member of the group canonically at 16. His little sister at the end was just having a full on mental breakdown at 14 years old.

@sonicartzldesignerclan5763 11 months ago

Zuko kept his honor through all 3 of his agni kais

Ozai burnt him even when zuko pled out of mercy
General ghao attacked his back
And Azula attacked a third party member

Zuko won all of his agni kai

@pare5108 11 months ago

Azulas hallucination was painful. she was talking to herself in that mirror, trying to convince herself that her actions were justified. Deep down, she felt trapped in the negativity and the legacy she was born into, like she had no choice but to become what everyone expected. That scene shows just how much inner conflict she was carrying much like zuko

A true narcissist would not question their own motives, but Azula did. The writers clearly added those layers for to her character for a reason and i wish the tapped into it more. The way none of the other characters ever showed her any real sympathy, makes it hit even harder.
