The state delivered its case for the penalty phase after Dr. Tomasz Kosowski was quickly convicted of the murder of missing attorney Steven Cozzi. Dr. Kosowski still represented himself and did not put on a case. Family and colleagues of Cozzi gave emotional victim impact statements. A judge found the state proved two aggravating factors.

By choosing a trial before one judge. He needed to be perfect. One for one. Had he chosen a jury trial. All he needed was one out of twelve. And he'd get a hung jury.

The rational behind his eyes, for me, is crystal clear.
He knows he did it, obviously, but his stance is: "they did not find a body, hence, they have no right of condenming me but if they do, there is nothing I can do since the system is corrupt as they are not playing by the rules, hence, I'll face death penalty with honor".

There are cameras everywhere. There is DNA evidence all over the place. Clorox, soap, and water do not erase evidence. Motive, opportunity, means still rule the day. BTW, the police are smarter than criminals because the criminal mind in the act of extreme emotional crisis is transformed by a temporary flush of chemicals that are not present in a normal functioning mind. This makes people, who think they are geniuses, nothing more than an animal. This guy had over 200 guns in his house. Clue #1.

I’m a Psychiatrist. It is very clear that this man is suffering from psychosis and lacks litigation capacity. He is not in a state of mind to be able to competently defend himself and is not well enough to realise this himself. In the interests of justice the Court should have compelled him to undergo a psych assessment.

No body no homicides could not be solved decades ago. These people who don’t watch true crime think they know better. The case alone without the body was going to produce quite extensive circumstantial evidence.
