He did a tour of theatres in the UK in the late 1980s under the format of ‘an evening with’. I went to a performance at the Palace Theatre, Manchester. Every seat was sold and the show was a sell-out. It was just him on the stage. It was an unforgettable evening and his humour, intellect and his unparalleled skill as a raconteur were all on show that night. I don’t think there’ll be anyone like him ever again.
Thanks for posting, enjoyed it. In the mid-1990s I was privileged to have spent a few days with Sir Peter during his visit to Cambodia in his capacity as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. A truly amazing and inspirational person.
I love this and his interviews on the Parkinson Show on British Television. His Auto biographies are wonderful as well but in this he is much more lively and existing. 😊
