The N52 by many is considered by many to be BMW's most reliable motor, but why? In this video, I cover everything you need to know about the N52. From it's history and how it was eventually replaced by the N20 and N55, to how it feels inside the E9X, chassis (a perfect formula), I'll walk you through what makes the N52 an engine many remember today.
I also share my own suspension setup and show how simple it is in comparison to the previous generations (no subframe reinforcements needed!). You'll get driving clips, exhaust notes, and intake sounds, plus I go over the mods that can be applied to get the most out of this platform.
It may not be the fastest BMW engine, but the N52's hold a special place in BMW history. It is the final NA inline 6 BMW made. There is a reason I still keep this car and it may surprise you (as it has nothing to do with keeping the N52). By the end, you will know whether I recommend owning one and why it deserves respect even after being overshadowed by the N54.

Showing what's possible when you put your mind to it. Single turbo N54 update: Manifolds has been put on, gaskets messed up so will be ordering new ones. Wastegates are going to be put on. Everything is basically ready. I am just waiting on the new valve cover! Next up: something I have been wanting for a very long time! Another BMW perhaps? or a whole different platform?

I have an 09 128i, with headers tune, m3 suspension all around, other stuff. The n52 was not built to be the fastest. But its a quick fun daily you dont have to have anxiety about maintenance on or something going wrong. Just slap some good suspension and exhaust (straight 6 NA sounds AWESOME with headers/and or exhaust). Nice to see someone appreciate it as well! Keep the videos coming. Also, i did my headliner in suede and it was hard by myself, I recommend having a helper to hold while one lays the material down on the tacky glue. Good luck!
Pretty good to see a video on this car, not a lot of them make content on these cars these days and I mean there are older videos from 7 - 11 years ago. But man when I saw a recent video which was yours, that made my day fr. Respect man😍❤️
