Looking at your engine bay I’m sitting like… “yeah I think I can trust this guy”😂

That missing valve cover bolt bugging me bad

n52 final boss

Thanks for the video Raimund. Good walk-through and summary of N52 issues. Long live the N52...Best!!

Just got a 2007 328xi 6 speed manual  2 door from my friend. It has 223,000 miles. Runs amazing!

Pretty much spot on.  I'm at 295k on my 07 328 and I've had to replace every single thing you noted and only maybe one or 2 more things.  Only other weird thing or two I would add is the plastic relief screw on the coolant reservoir and the oil pan gasket.  Good stuff man!

This is the car that decided me to look for older BMW for my son.

Hi, I just recently purchased a 2010 328i with x drive. The car is one of the most impressive vehicles I have ever driven. Immediately fell in love with this sedan. That being said, this is my daily driver. I want to maintain it stock as possible with as close to oem parts as possible. This is a great video for someone like me who intends to drive my e90 for 300k miles. Currently sitting at 132k

Please never forget if you’re having vanos issues check your vanos oil check valves located just in front of the front two exhaust manifold bolts recessed into the head they can be cleaned or replaced they keep the vanos system supplied with oil at all times !

Earned yourself a new subscriber after watching a few shorts/videos. The N52 platform intrigues me. Currently in the design stage of my E46 and weighing up powertrain options. Plan is sub 1100 kg, mostly by way of in house custom carbon/kevlar panels: Roof, quarters (front and rear), bonnet, boot lid, doors  and also possibly bumpers. Half cage, big brakes and some suspension geometry updates. The engine choice is the elephant in the room, but something different is kind of the goal. Great videos, very well informed.

I have the n51, in my 2011. I’m at 150450. Replaced water pump, thermostat, rack and pinion, coolant reservoir, reservoir line, top radiator hose, ignition coils, and spark plugs.

I literally did exactly what you explained at around 11:20 and broke my radiator because the hose randomly started leaking about a year ago 😂

So glad I did not go the 3SIM route .. N54 manifold conversion is definitely the way to go !

Super insightful

Son where is your valve cover bolt at

I fully recommend replacing all plastic cooling system parts with aluminum. Radiator, adapters, and other plastic components. They make kits for them online for the N52.

This was really helpful thanks for the thorough explanation of the what and why of everything

Just bought an n52 and belt got sucked in. had the plate ordered and everything was supposed to come in tmrw and it got sucked in this morning 😭😭

This was an extremely helpful video - thank you!
