Also alot to do with the environment, alot of people have boards in kitchens now and don't realise the extreme humidity changes makes the board solid very quickly

I think one of the most common things I see is people's darts slamming against the board, not so much because of an arc but because the dart over rotates because of the point kicking downwards too much before reaching the board. Too much weight at the front of the dart or having an extreme flick in their technique (usually holding right at the rear).

What for me made a big difference was supporting my Bull's dartboard demper. I found out the board was hanging not really steady, so by impact de dartboard would move back a bit.
After making it more steady, i didn't have lots of drop-outs or bounce-outs anymore.

My dart just did exactly that on the double 8 as I had to move over as I blocked the double with the first 2 darts

Never realised in the old days you had to soak the dart board 😂😂. I can imagine that being a nightmare.

How even do you get 60mm points... also doesn't it matter a bit what kind of throw you have? Gian van Veen for example has a hard straight throw and not a lot of bounce outs even though he uses 50mm points.

And I do remember during the first tournaments of the year a lot of players seem to have had problems with bounce outs on the new boards to the point even commentators began questioning the board. From what I understood the humidity and temperature in storage was so low the board became harder. Seems to be less of a problem currently.

For me the big problem with drop outs seems to be my fingers bending during drawback causing me to misalign the dart which causes them to hit the board at a weird angle, thus causing the dropouts. Not sure yet what the cause of the bending fingers is, but keeping them straight does seem to hurt my shoulder so it is definitely something I'm going to discuss with my physiotherapist.

I've found that if my alignment is off the dart has less power and is more likely to drop out.
Also, can you please send more of the Mission Samurai 4 boards to Australia. Everyone seems to be sold out atm.

Why is the wire there at all ? Is it truly neccessary or is it just to avoid havind darts landing right on the lines not clearly in one sector or the other ? Because with how rare you say it is, i don't think its a big deal and a simple rule can be applied to those cases. Like which way is the dart leaning, toward which of the concerned sectors. Even in the absolutly baffling cases when its right in the intersection of 4 sectors, that should still work to determine the score of the dart. I really don't see a structural reason for the wires to be there, nor do i see why they are neccessary for the game itself.

Can you please explain this to me and others who are confused about it ? (At least those who will see this comment)

Still don't get the fascination lately with long points or even points that can be changed, I've never had any issue with the standard points on darts I've used.
