Hello everyone, it’s Ina!
I just arrived in Boston, and on my very first day in the U.S., I finally got to try the lobster roll that’s been on my bucket list.
Lobster inside a sandwich… I still can’t get over how amazing that is!

Back in North Korea, eating was about survival.
But now, being able to eat for the taste feels so new and almost unbelievable to me.

I’m still not very skilled at filming and editing yet, so things might not be perfect,
but I’ll keep learning and bring you even better videos.

In the future, if you tell people in a business that you are from North Korea, they will do everything they can to assist you. Americans view you like we used to view Cubans in the 1950's - 1980's. Nothing makes Americans happier than meeting people who escaped Communism. It reaffirms our love of freedom. We respect your journey.

"Hey Joe, what did you do this morning?"  I watched a North Korean defector eat a lobster roll in Boston, and it was the most magical thing I have seen in a long time.   Thank you, Ina...for your adorable appetite and your incredible courage! Say Hi to Hana for us !

I love how Marquis (Starbucks guy) recognized their language barrier and motioned with his hands while saying, "small, medium, large".  Marquis is a good guy!

Fun fact! Lobster used to be so abundant in the area you're in that it was fed as fodder for peasants and prisoners hundreds of years ago. It's now a New England delicacy. Can't wait to see more of your food exploits around the world!

Lobster rolls are very expensive any where you go. I am originally from Boston, and I would consider a lobster roll a special treat to be eaten no more than once or twice a year. The area that you walked through on your way to the train station is the area that I grew up in. Has not changed much in the fifty years since I left to join the U.S. Army. Retired after 20 years and now live in Maryland. I did serve seven years with the U.S. Army in Korea. Some of the best years of my military service.

That sample was Clam Chowder, a thick cream based soup with clams.  I have been to Boston many times and I always loved it. I have not been back in many years.  Boston is on the sea coast, the Boston Harbor is an historical place in American history.

9:32  You can tell the casher runs into a lot of people that don't speak english.  He did the hand gestures for the size! I used to work at a tourist spot where we did the same thing.
