The mirrored sculpture, Cloud Gate, is in Chicago. However, I've only known it as The Bean.

They forgot to include Long Island in the map of New York.

Everybody calls Cloudgate “the Bean” and it’s in Chicago

Not being U.S. citizens, you guys did pretty well. You did as well as a good number of Americans if not better. You surely did better than I would on a U.K. quiz.

When the states entered the Union there were no big cities yet. The capital was often a more centrally located.

In most states, the capital has a smaller population than its biggest city. Santa Fe is much smaller than Albuquerque. Juneau-Anchorage, Olympia-Seattle, Carson-Las Vegas, Sacramento-LA, etc.

Amber, you commented on Plymouth being a city in England... the "Pilgrims" who landed at Plymouth Rock sailed from Plymouth, England and established their new home as Plymouth Colony. I think you know more than you give yourself credit for. Loving the reactions!

We call “cloud gate” the bean, and it’s in chicago. i’ve never heard it’s actual name until now lol

I got 49 out of 50, I didn’t know about the Wright Brothers Monument!

Many state capitals were established back when the only transportation was boat or horse, so they had to be centrally located.

Question 47 pictures Crater Lake in Oregon. Far from the largest but it is the deepest in US

@keef5 2 weeks ago

7:09 yeah you got St. Louis and Illinois swapped

@butchshadwell3613 5 hours ago

I am very disappointed that I missed three of them, but honestly you both should be very proud of your performance. I believe you scored higher than 50% of Americans in your age group.

The Los Angeles lakers are called the Lakers because they originally were in Minnesota

I got all 50 right, but I'm an American. Utah isn't above Colorado, Wyoming is above Colorado. Utah is next to Colorado to the west.

The capital of Illinois question had a historical significance. When the Germans were trying to infiltrate the American lines during the Battle of the Bulge the soldiers were coming up with trivia to trip them up. When asked what the capital of Illinois was the commanding general rightly answered Springfield. The soldier guarding the intersection wrongly thought it was Chicago and placed the general under guard until they could verify his identity.

The countryside to New Jersey has very rich and nutrient soil and produces some of the greatest produce you'll ever have. Fresh jersey sweet corn is like eating candy that just grew off of the stock
