I think "Spaghettii" was made to emphasize on why genres are a funny little concept, and how this is not simply a Country album, but a Beyoncé album.

spaghetti was such a great juxtaposition from daughter imo and showcases that this is not a country album this is beyoncé’s album and if she wants to perform opera in one song just to move into a Brazilian rap song she can and will.

'Blackbird' was written by Paul McCartney in response to the Civil Rights Movement in America. Bird is a term in Britain that refers to women or girls. 'Blackbird' was an appreciation of Black women.

the lore of this album runs so deep it’ll be studied in universities for years just like self-titled, lemonade and renaissance have been.

the concept of a drunken night listening to a radio station is SO well executed. she goes from lamenting about america’s horrid past, to reminiscing on her childhood, to struggling as a parent, to imagining her mother’s heartache and seeking revenge, to getting high and experiencing a bad trip, to falling in love and losing it then finding it again, imagining herself in a movie, coming down, picking herself up and leaving the bar.

all of this executed while also paying homage to americana/folk and country’s black roots, weaving together interpolations and samples from a whole host of other collaborators.

she really is a master of her craft AND a student of the past, always paying homage to those who came before her in order to push culture and art FORWARD.

34 years in this business and she ain’t slowing down yet. a LEGEND.

many laymans will continue to appear foolish due to their lack of comprehension regarding this album and indeed her career as a whole

Stevie Wonder played the harmonica on Jolene.

All of the featured artist on Black Bird are Black female Country artist who were "waiting for this moment" of visibility to arise. They all saw a jump of 400% for their streams a day after album dropped

I am watching every single reaction! I’m 43 and a Stan 26 years and Renaissance also was my whole personality the last 2 years and this album finally has broken the spell

We don’t talk about that Jolene-Daughter combo enough. Jolene into Daughter is SO good. She literally went from don’t come for my man to taking them both out. And admitting to what she had done. While singing in Italian? Nasty work honestly. Amazing story telling here.

I haven't really been a consistent Beyonce fan, but I am so impressed with this record. It really is a masterpiece. She is a supremely talented woman. I can't see how anyone can argue this.

Giiiirl. I can assure you that Brazilians, just like me, go crazy listening Spaghetti, just because it’s a Brazilian’s funk rhythm.

@AbbyTunner-g6h 2 years ago

Spaghetti is inspired on Spaghetti western, a genre of movie that was made by italians descendants immersed in country culture, it's interesting that comes after daughter that has an italian aria on it

Bodyguard, Jolene and Daughter are a stellar trifactorrr🤚🏾😭

Opera on a country track isnt strange. Have you ever seen the old Sergio Leone spaghetti westerns? Named so because they were mostly produced and written by Italians. One of my favorite film soundtracks is The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly composed by the great Ennio Morricone.😉
