Starks really seemed to lose his confidence after he missed his chance to clinch the championship in the final seconds of game 6, it felt like he mentally didn't have it for game 7.

The Knicks had heartbreaks in 1993 by Jordan’s Bulls with Charles Smith and the four attempts stopped by the defense of Chicago, 1994 oh so close by John Starks in Game 6 if it wasn’t for the Dream (Olajuwon) and the disastrous Game 7, 1995 - They could’ve won the series against the Pacers to advance but lost three close game in the second round (1, 3 and 7)- Ewing’s layup went in and out, 1997’s brawl cost them a chance. 2026 made up for a track record of heartbreaks.

Ewing's intentional / frustration foul at 1:59:20 was so dumb. At that point the Knicks are down 2 with 40 seconds left. Get a stop!

My favorite part of this match up is ultimately this Knicks roster ended up with 0 rings at the end of their careers and the Rockets roster ended up with 25 at the end of theirs.
