“I can explain…” 😂 spoken like a guilty child

The number of people trying to buy at launch overload the site and then it glitches saying that everything is sold out. The website did the exact same thing last year. When it started doing that for me, I just closed my computer and went to bed, knowing that in the morning everything would be back to normal. And it was and I got everything I wanted without issue. I probably won't bother even trying right at launch next year.

I went absolutely bonkers this year and with the spiral of death screen going on the hobonichi site, I went over and ordered from Yoseka and Jet Pens and then circled back around Hobonichi two more times with separate orders!!  Shipping for all was wild and I ended up with several planners too many lol, no overlap but sort of got some stuff from this place and some stuff from another, and then just bought everything I wanted.  However, I have a few Christmas presents for others now lol.  Also sometimes I just want to see and feel the items, in part to see what all the fuss is about.  A surprise LOVE is the Natal Design A5, red and white stripe with blue trim.  Sort of a nautical design with birds on the inside.  Beautiful. That was a last minute throw in the cart I saw from desperately searching the reddit comments on what to do when the hobonichi website is crashing.  Unfortunately on reddit I was hearing about what everyone else was wanting and it was contagious lol.  Like you said, only get what you can afford and wait until later to save money and you can get the new hobonichi for very reasonable nearer to the new year. They have fun stuff and very functional planners, VERY easy to get addicted to!!

From what I know, Hobonichi only puts the yearly box in another box if you order an item that’s too big for the box or if you order so mich that it can’t all fit in the box. I’ve only gotten the box by itself.

Hiii! This is the first vid of you that I watched hehe you seem so kind and your make up is popping!! I also bought my first hobonichi techo hehe so you gained a new subscriber!! ❤❤

I made my A5 5 year into a 9 year journal. I’m back filling four years on the right side. Great video, thank you!

I got the spinning wheel too, but logged back on an hour later and was able to get the beautiful people cover I missed out on last year.  Their process is unnecessarily stressful yet I continue to back each year!

I absolutely love your video haha half of your thought process is what I have in my head when getting the hobonichi things for myself and guess what? I'm getting a little bit more hahahahaaha 🙈

I had the same experience on my second order through Hobonichi.  I’m one who placed multiple orders but I’m OK with supporting small shops too. The 5-year cover did come out last year.  I have it and adore it.  Something I will be happy to look at for five years.

They usually just ship them in the box, its based off the size of the items you order. Also the site crashing happens every year at launch, they tried to alleviate issues this year by doing a rolling restock it looks like.

twin!!! I also got the sheep mega weekly <3

I did load with everything in my cart, but I had Jetpens also pulled up and Jetpens was cheaper once shipping and import costs were added. Except by the time I tried to checkout with Jetpens the cover I wanted was sold out there and when I went back to Hobonichi it was also sold out there so I just got everything else at Jetpens. Luckily, Hobonichi had the cover back in stock later that night. Sometimes you just have to give it a little bit.

I totally relate to this addiction 😉

Wow, we must be twins. I was torn between the William Morris and the white cat village cover (which is the one I bought). But hey! I didn't think of getting both!  Hahahahaha!!  You are encouraging me way too much. 😆😆

I like how algorithm has pushed everyone to buy hobonichi. 😂

I love Hiroko Kubota's work too! I get one of her designs each year. I got the A6.hon string telephone and the Akiko Miyakoshi's weeks bunnies blowing bubbles. They're both adorable designs. I had serious fomo for the William Morris vines hon, but I just can't use another journal. I got several mini keychains for Christmas ornaments and one to hang in my car. This was my 6th year of Hobonichi happiness.

You're so genuine😊. I just finished my small order, but it was hard😅. I got the midnight blue weeks mega, the Yoshie Watanabe foil stamped stickers, the clear cover, and a beautiful graph notebook. I love their paper❤

Hey Dez! It's my first time buying hobonichi journals and I got the Moomin Weekly journal and the Hobonichi cousin. I also purchased a few stickers and tapes!
I'm so excited to start journaling. Just like you, the next 5 years will also be important for me so I am considering getting the 5 year journal but since I already bought the Hobonichi Cousin, I'm worried that it'll overwhelm me after a while. I'm a new subscriber so looking forward to your next video! :D

This was my first ever hobonichi year! So excited to use them soon!
I have a weeks dupe from Amazon. I picked it up in April and told myself if i CONSISTENTLY used it THEN I could invest in a more expensive one and I earned it! Its been the best format I've ever worked with. (The planner problem can be "oh THIS new planner is finally gonna fix me" and most of the time it doesn't but the weeks format finally fixed me 🙈😅).
So I got the Akiko one with the two bunnies cause I have two sons who love bubbles too ❤
I also splurged on an A6 and the Bordeaux cover the I'm gonna memory keep in (had a dupe for that also that I've been using about a month)

What i wanted couldn't be purchased from the Hobonichi site unfortunately. So I ordered from an Etsy shop. Bought the Hello Kitty A6 cover and pencil board. Im going to use a Kinbor next year and see how this goes. If not my think I can always order the Hobonichi A6 off of Amazon. Thanks for sharing!. Still looking for the pen. Ordered the mini hobo from Jetpens.
