I wish someone would believe in me like Chiba believes in Matsui

His attitude is pretty in line with actual neurosurgeons, he just sucks at it.

This is literally House but if House was a dumbass instead of an asshole genius

As someone who is studying to be a nurse this terrifies me, i am so scared of making even the slightest error yet some people can kill or severely injury dozens and not care.

Dr. House: 😠
Dr. House, Japan: 😌

It's crazy how Dr. Chiba can be a spine surgeon without having a spine himself.

I think you're right, Dr. Chiba must have been blackmailed with the most diabolical dirt ever. Literally nobody would protect, cover up, and roll over for someone like this.

In Japan, brain surgeon, number one, steady hands

If it was me running that first police investigation, I 100% would have bought the conspiracy that Matsui is a scapegoat and Chiba was the guy fucking up everything all along actually makes more sense than the alternative. The fact that Matsui was allowed to do this for so long is legitimately unbelievable.

Japan's "amazing" legal system casually letting a psychopath just keep going.

Chiba is 10x worse than Matsui..
I mean they both deserve long prison sentences but morally speaking - Matsui was incompetent, narcissistic, and just horrible as a person. However, giving a person like that the power to inflict serious damage multiple times is truly evil. As a doctor, Matsui didn't know how irresponsible and bad at his job that he was, Chiba did and enabled him. It's actually unbelievable someone in a job as respected and prestigious as a surgeon could have hired someone so inexperienced and careless.

14:00 wait, so the competent doctor, who actually knew how to perform the operation…was just watching? Like he didn’t take over the surgery when he clearly didn’t know what he was doing??

HE must have had some at least murder-related dirt on Dr. Chiba.

It crazy that poking around in the brain can change literally anything about you

I worked as a scrub nurse in neurosurgery for 10 years.  While fatal errors can happen and I have seen them, I’d say they average maybe 1-2 a year, and this was in a level 1 trauma.

You know what’s worse? 10 medical schools in Japan were found to be deliberately failing women, favouring the children of alumni, and were found to be letting male students retake the exams multiple times (though allegedly looked down on people who’d had to retake the exams.)
This nonsense was ‘justified’ by saying that ‘women leave the workplace to give birth to children, and never return’ in a culture where women are pressured to get married, have kids, and leave the workplace.

He has the right attitude of a neurosurgeon, but zero of the skill

My mother was operated last month. Thank GOD I didn't watch this video before that, I think I would have had a nervous breakdown before surgery. (She's fine now)

Chiba is literally just the captain from mouthwashing

This is actually terrifying
