Myra saying a swear with the wrong part bleeped out had to be intentional. That's camp.

Feeling enlightened for finally seeing the origin of "Now listen you queer, stop calling me a crypto-nazi", a phrase which could have been uttered today under the exact same circumstances. The 1960s were crazy.

God to hear someone from the late 60's call someone a "crypto nazi", damn the more things change the more they stay the same

The “shut up for a minute” was absolutely hilarious to hear from someone from an era where black and white TV’s were revolutionary.

Pretending to be your own widow is SUCH an iconic move tho. That premise is so goddamn funny. I wish both the movie and book were better.

why was this movie from 1970 edited like a youtube poop... kind of ahead of its time if you think about it

Ok, the picture of your pre-transition self standing with you in a room like it's Fight Club is pretty great visual storytelling that feels like it could've came from a more legit trans film

The portrayal of a trans person being besties in crime with their pre transitioned self is a hype concept. But along with many people in this movie, it was abused.

I like how they used footage of the nuke as basically a 1970s vine boom edit

Sometimes I wonder what Evasive would feed me while forcing me to watch something horrible

I'd kill for a glimpse at the timeline where Vidal's version of the film got made and Bill Buckley was forced to watch it.

Janis Joplin being unable to make sense of this movie was a brilliant addition to the conclusion

Literally obsessed with the two men aggressively rowing in a transatlantic accent. I love how calm they are.

I gotta be honest. the nuclear bomb footage when the uncle is trying to say her name is actually extremely funny to me.

That clip of the guys arguing in those radio station accents is the funniest thing ever

the fact that the US GOVERNMENT did not want to be associated with this film is INSANE

I’m going to put this on and tell my dad it’s Emilia Perez

hobie having "(she arrived late)" floating over her is so me. i need that every time it happens, like when the diamond over a sim gets red because they're hungry.

edit: THANK YOU HOBIE FOR MENTIONING DOUG DIMMADOME. I WAS HOPING SOMEONE WOULD DO IT,
