Also, let’s not forget that one of the casting directors of Titanic said that if River didn’t pass, he would’ve played Jack Dawson in Titanic instead of Leonardo DiCaprio.

I couldn’t imagine holding my dying sibling in my arm, and being yelled at to calm down. oh my god how insanely inconsiderate

Everyone who speaks of him speaks of what a special person he was. So tragic. RIP River

That 911 operator was WAY out of line. Joaquin was 19 and (potentially and ultimately) losing his brother. It's only natural that he'd be upset. So incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional for the operator to talk to him like that. "Hand the phone to someone else." NO, YOU HAND THE PHONE TO SOMEONE ELSE. JESUS.

River is a legend. Imagine the things he would have done in his lifetime if drugs were not in his life. RIP River ❤

That 911 operator was rude af

It’s common to have a drug or alcohol addiction from childhood trauma. What happened to him when he was 4 is horrible. It’s so sad he didn’t have help.

He would have become the biggest movie star in the world, easily. Such a talented family, Joaquin is hella talented, too.

Joaquin has just had a baby boy in 2020, with Rooney Mara called River, named after his uncle river 😔🥹💙

"get over here please, you must get over here please" even during his most traumatic & stressful time Joaquin is so articulate & well mannered. So much love for him.

Thank you for covering River, Sloan. As much as we want River to be at rest, there is much more to discuss here. There is no denying, River was a sensitive soul in an ugly world. May there be no mercy for those who participated in the downfall of River.

Shame on dispatch. How does he expect him to calm down? Clearly this was traumatic for him. Joaquin was loud, yes, but in no way was he so loud that he became inaudible. I hope he’s found comfort and healed from this horrible, horrible situation. Rip River Phoenix 🖤

I’ll forever remember that ❣️ RIP 🫶

Apparently Johnny Depp and the Viper room staff would throw people out of the club while they were overdosing and before they would die so the club wouldn’t get shut down. Ruthless. Thank you for speaking about River. I get sad when I realize people don’t know who he is anymore 😢

Stories about the Viper Room…Yea! Please. (Johnny sold the Viper Room very shortly after River died.) I remember when River died. It was not just sad, but so tragic. He was such an amazing actor.  ✌🏻💖🌺

God Joaquin so broken yet still so eloquent and respectful. My heart breaks for him but have so much respect for how he carries himself.

It is so sad for Joaquin to witness that.

I can never unhear Sloan calling John Frusciante "this guy named john" ❤️‍🩹😅👍 & now it lives rent free in my head...

🙏   rest easy river   💫

Sloan, you should also do an in depth of Jonathan Brandis and Corey Haim. They  were such good actors taken way too soon

His brother Joaquin probably feels guilty that they asked him to take them out  to partywhen they got to town that night. He acts like he feels guilty to me. Grief is so hard to deal with and we blame ourselves a lot. RIP Phoenix
