She wasn’t “dating” grown men. She was groomed by older men who exploited and raped her.

No child should financially support their family

The lives of the exploited children of Hollywood are often deeply sad.

Such a small coincidental world we live in. In 1959/ 60 I was a kid growing up in Hollywood and living with my parents in a triplex apartment building converted from an old single family home. It was on the small quiet street of DeLongpre Ave. a few hundred yards west of Western Ave. Our upstairs apartment had a balcony that faced north and towards the back of one of the two 20th Century Fox's auxiliary studio lots across the small street, the other studio being across from us to the east on Western and Sunset Blvd. From our balcony I could just see over the studio wall at the western sets and hear the gunfire when they were filming another TV western. And this studio is where they also filmed "The Adventures of Dobie Gillis". Every day of filming at lunch time Tuesday Weld, Dwayne Hickman and Bob Denver walked in front of my house together on their way to lunch. I knew who they were because I was a fan of the show, but never bothered them for any autographs. And now here I am all these years later watching the biography of this actress on my Smartphone. What a strange world.

Correction: An 11 year old isn't dating grown men...she is being exploited, abused and violated by grown men!

Reporter: “What drove you into seclusion?”
Tuesday Weld: “I think it was a Buick.”

This horrid streak in many men of obsessive desire in young beautiful and innocent teenage girls is repulsive. It is a character flaw that produces the predator.

Often mothers are their children's worst enemies.

@johnkelly1198 11 days ago

It was her mothers responsability to keep her safe

The camera loved Tuesday Weld! She had this light about her that you could see just watching her on screen. Whether it was her physical beauty, her inner beauty, or both, it was there. She could steal every scene.
Thank you for this presentation. She was so beautiful.

Considering what's been going on at the moment, Tuesday Weld refused to be bought and sold by anyone and just said I'm gonna survive on my own terms. It cost her though, and I hope somewhere, in herself, she's found peace. This was a good one, Ava, thank you.

The actor John Ireland really got around in Hollywood. He was in his 40's when he "dated" her when she was 15. He also 'dated" Elizabeth Taylor when she was 15. He wasn't a good looking man. The predators got away with a lot in those days. They still do. Hollywood has always been a meat grinder for young girls. Look at Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Bynes, Britney Spears. It's a long list that's still growing.

Good to hear TW is still alive, especially given all she’s been through. She obviously has true grit and self-belief.

So sad that this happens to ANY child...😢

@RoxyEwe 12 days ago

Wow! Ava, you know how to craft your words! Tuesday Weld refused to be a victim, ran her own life, and was dragged through mud by
gossips for it! I do hope she has felt happiness and satisfaction!🎉🎉

She was a beautiful woman. And independent as well. She lives her life on her own terms. Thank You for the video.

@tomhowerton4819 12 days ago

She was an incredibly beautiful woman. To me her path is actually admirable. She navigated it on her terms, and rightfully didn't give a damn what anyone in her profession, nor anyone else thought about it. It's sad to hear about her being exploited as a child even tho ultimately it didn't cost her her sense of who she was. Still hanging in there with the rest of humanity at 82.

Good for her.
