I love how half of all NFL Throwback vids on playoffs are just obligated to start with that one iconic press conference lol

still waiting for every nfl team ranked by offensive linemen history

The 1985 Super Bowl will always be one of the biggest “what ifs” in NFL history. The Bears go 15-1 and blew out everyone they played, but the one team that beat them was Dan Marino and the Miami Dolphins. Everyone was praying for a rematch because they all knew Miami was the only team in the NFL that had a chance to beat them. Unfortunately, the Dolphins completely self-destructed and gave the game to the Wild Card Patriots. And yes, I do mean they gave it away. The Pats didn’t play that well on offense, but the Dolphins kept making self-inflicted mistakes. What a shame.

My dad grew up a Dolphins fan, and he said that the 1985 AFC Championship collapse against the Patriots was so devastating that he bawled his eyes out as a 20 year old man. That game might’ve been the most heartbreaking loss in Dolphins history

I played a double overtime superbowl in Madden will go down as the greatest game of all time

Obviously this was made a couple of weeks ago, but 18:24 we now know the Chiefs will not tie the Patriots' record.

1982 is the only time in NFL history that playoff games were regionally televised.

Due to the number of games and how comparatively underdeveloped cable was at that time, the major networks had multiple crews cover different playoff games simultaneously.

This channel is a gold mine.  If I had known 20 years ago that the lists and stuff I was making in my head would be done by the NFL itself in an official capacity with video,  my head would have exploded.

3:53 that little “HOORAY!” In the background was so cute

In the picture of the 1932 NFL Champion Bears, the first person on the left in the second row is Charley Bidwell - the owner of the Chicago Cardinals.  He was a bigger Bears fan than Cards fan; and went along with everything Halas wanted in league meetings.

As a Bills fan I’m split over the four Superbowls. Obviously it’s disappointing to lose them, but the resilience they showed to keep coming back every time has to be commended. Honestly it’s what made me a fan of them.

In my opinion if you make it to the conference championship game, you’ve had a solid season for yourself because for everyone in the post merger era, you had a regular season that was successful enough to make the playoffs and you won at least one game when you got there, or qualified when fewer teams did (whether that be championship game appearance or playing your way into a tiebreaker)

Also, nearly all of the best players, coaches and teams of their generation get to at least one conference championship game in their time.

Consider also that as of right now, the only Hall of Fame quarterback who never made it that far is Warren Moon, and every coach in Canton made it there at least once as well as most of the coaches that people debate whether they belong or not.

4:20 - Small correction. The 1934 title game was held in NYC, not Chicago.
That's how the Giants got the advantage with the sneakers. They sent a staffer out to a local university athletic department because they had some connection to the school.

The videos on this channel just continue to be so much fun

Heads will roll if I don’t hear that Jim Mora clip at least once

EDIT: y’all truly are professionals!!!

It's amazing how  Long it took them to realise to set the goal post back

1958 Championship Games was at Yankee Stadium, not Polo Grounds!

6:02  I'm sorry Mr. Luckman, I wasn't familiar with your game...

The 1982 Playoffs format is crazy 😂

Dear NFL Throwback,

i know yall got a lot on your plate but we are still waiting on the most dominant teams ever and the most dominant seasons by a player. if that’s too generic, highlighting underrated dominant teams and seasons by a player could be a great substitute.

that being said…this is an excellent video topic. this is a great topic. keep it up!

Sincerely, Me
