Really great video

“Everyone knows that bad things happen when you try to pass 72.”

That was the hardest line I’ve ever heard from one of your videos. You’re a genius

"35 years ago, the Dolphins were on their way to being immortalized in the record books. Now, these Dolphins are fighting for the right to be forgotten" - damn that's powerful

11:33 i love how the teams start with Chicago, who was the first to approach perfection and end with the patriots, who came closer than anyone to perfection.

Crazy how full circle Miami comes with that 70 point game and your line about "Trying to pass 72"

“35 years ago, the Dolphins were on their way to being immortalized in the record books. Now, these Dolphins are fighting for the right to be forgotten.”

Hard.

My dad is a lifelong Dolphins fan. He was born in 72’, and has seen all the ups and downs. I showed him this video when it first came up. I think it meant more than I could ever know. Thanks Emp for this heartwarming tale.

Here in Miami we always have a drink round at the pub whenever the last undefeated team loses a game…

“bad things happen when you try to pass 72” is one of the most perfect lines in any video to tie the whole thing together

The influence of the Dolphins culturally is huge. As someone who lives in Australia, I have no idea about NFL except for the Patriots, and the Miami Dolphins. Sporting bodies sometimes go beyond their usual fans and into wider recognition

That “NO GOOD!” From Jim Mandich was such a raw display of positive emotion that I couldn’t help but crack a smile for the guy

“By now, everyone knows that bad things happen when you try to pass 72.”

Brilliant line.

Emp, not gonna lie, I suggest doing more sports themed content like this. This is gold. The same way Art of the Choke was gold. Keep this up. Please. Also I enjoy the UrinatingTree cameo appearance at 8:23 btw lol

“Bad things happen when you try to pass 72” you just blew my mind. Go Dolphins

the ghosts are popping champagne after watching the chiefs fall short

here after the chiefs handed an interception to the bills to give the chiefs a 9-1

This probably the only dude on YouTube who could get me to watch an hour long video about a sport I care almost nothing about. Plus he manages to keep it interesting. Really great work!

the " bad things happen when you try to pass 72" metaphor was so fucking good

One of the best storytellers on the internet.

2024: The Dolphins toast once more.
This year's Chiefs are now 9-1!
