Werwulf comes out this December! I can't wait to see Eggers's interpretation.

Werewolves are by far my favourite horror monsters, and I’m always desperate for more movies about them 🎉

Dog Soldiers and Ginger Snaps. You're very welcome.

As someone who had such a deep love for werewolves, it's so sad that it feels like werewolves get kind of neglected in film. Whenever someone does anything these days it's like they want the werewolf to not even BE a werewolf.

Here's hoping that Egger's film will give me another good werewolf film

Sorry bro. You are technically wrong about your Somme facts - It doesn't say, "The Battle of the Somme" which was a major battle in 1916 (and also 1918) it just says "The Somme" which was a region and there was fighting for years in that region including 1917. Great video though.

For not being exclusively about werewolfs, Van Helsing is definitely my favourite werewolf movie. It's got the best design for them in my opinion.

I don't think I say this enough, but I always appreciate your videos. They are informative and fun to watch along with introducing me to new movies to explore or enjoy the nostalgia. Side note on nostalgia, just did a rewatch of Session 9 and it's still a good one to me if you haven't seen it before.

Also I love gothic horror period films too, will for sure check this one out! ❤

It would be interesting if removing the Silver Bullet caused Edward to revert back into a werewolf.

One thing I hate about modern movies is the attacks are always so close up and shaky cam it take you out of the attack even though they are attempting to put you the moment. The close shaken camera atrack of the girl in the sheets isn't scary or really anything new and everyone always makes the beast some stalking thinking jump scare. Ever seen a bear attack? The bear doesnt look at you growl and wait for you to run and hide.

Imagine this: A women sees the were wolf and runs, it pans out to a wide open shot the moonlight laminating the yard as she is running towards the camera and the safety of her farmhouse. 30 yards away running crying right to the camera and the beast comes out from the side and pounces her to the ground. A rapid viscous attack far enough you cant make out the damage but you can hear the snarl of the beast as it violently shakes her like a pit bull and her gurgles screams until she stops. The beast then drags her away. Dead silent.

That would be a sence that would stick with you for the shear violence and sound without needing to hide the creature or effects up close and no shaky cam.

Dog Soldiers (2002) is probably the best werewolf movie out there. Would love to hear your thoughts on it

0:24 Hopefully we won’t have to wait much longer for that film since Robert Eggers’ “Werwulf” is coming out this Christmas

DOG SOLDIERS

If you want a goofy but fun werewolf movie about the Beast of Gevaudan. Watch Brotherhood of the Wolf.

The Cursed is a bit of a mixed bag, but it’s a visual feast and the parts I think work are strong enough they help me forget the shakier sections.

underworld is my titular werewolf moving even though it's about more about vampires

I thank Roanoke Gaming for making me aware of this movie. I loved it and showed it to a friend who is a horror host in the Midwest. He was skeptical because so many people tell him he "needs to see a movie" and they often end up underwhelming. He thanked me for showing it to him because he hadn't heard of it. I'm so glad I bought this movie when I heard about it from Roanoke.

Edited to add: I forgot this movie was tied to the beast of Gevadaun. Now I want to read Red Winter. It has been sitting on my shelf and it is a fantasy about the beast of Gevadaun.

With the timeline they provided there could be another move. Imagine, if the main guy was a werewolf that was bitten during attack in Gévaudan, loosing his family and through that 130years(his unusual werewolf characteristic) he travelled killing people and posing as a researcher to cover his tracks. The story could be presented partially from his pov and the audience will uncover the truth as the movie progresses.

Technically, silver as the werewolf weakness is a modern creation. (Modern as in the past century)

Honestly, I vastly prefer a film that assumes the entire cast are speaking the same language and just has them talk as if we were native speakers with a fluent understanding than a film set entirely in an area with characters entirely speaking in accented English like they're talking in a second language.

I know we’re all hoping and praying that Werwulf doesn’t let us down 🙏🏻

This is the second time I've gotten hyped for a werewolf movie I haven't seen, only to find out that I've absolutely seen it but it was distributed in my country under a different title. It was called "Eight for Silver" here, and I agree that it's a much better title than "The Cursed. The other werewolf movie was "Late Phases" which, for some reason was called "Night of the Wolf" on streaming where I watched it.
