Moon Pride was not composed by Akiko Kosaka. It was composed by Revo. Akiko Kosaka composed the ending song, Gekkou, with lyrics by Naoko Takeuchi under the penname of Sumire Shirobara

My girlfriend and I tried to do a drinking game where we took a shot each time someone said THE LEGENDARY SILVER CRYSTAL. 😹😹😹😹

I’m surprised you didn’t mention that Minako’s English voice actor voiced Makoto in Persona 5. I’ve always loved that. Girl has the name of Sailor Jupiter and the voices of Sailors Venus and Mars.

You forgot to mention that the guy who voices Artemis also played the 2nd Black Ranger from Power Ranger aka Super Sentai in Japan.

"A little girl pops up from some portal & claims she's Usagi. Usagi says she's Usagi so then the little girl pulls a gun on her & tells her to "prove it". The End😊". I've only seen the 1st season of the remake & the 1st ep of the OG so far. I'll admit I didn't enjoy it all that much it jus didn't click wit me almost at all(the remake, need more time on the og) but I've committed to goin through a lot of it(simply as far as I'm able) & these could help motivate me. Also I thank Atsuko Tanaka for bein the voice of many characters I grew up wit & love so much💜

The Sailor Guardian romances actually came from a scrapped concept, brought about because the manga and 90s anime were being made in tandem. It's actually an interesting story.
Takeuchi wanted to give the inner scouts love lives, and even eluded to it in the Sailor V manga (which came out before Sailor Moon). However, the people working at Toei took it upon themselves to kill Jadeite, and thus Takeuchi needed to kill him off in the manga for consistency. Once the precedent was set, the other 3 were all but guaranteed to die. And then she never got around to bringing Endymion's generals back into the story. This lead to speculation from fans (ex: if the generals were revived along with everyone else), and a desire from the fanbase to see the romances be implemented (along with "fixing" other things the 90s anime changed), so it became remarkably common for spin-off material to include it.

Love Sailor Moon Crystalverse.❤

Also cute fact  cindy also voices bloom from winx club in the movies

the story and the art style were fantastic even though it had pacing issues however the 3D animation for transformation to me wasn't a smart idea, but I like they tried to experiment that I'll give them props for trying

Mimmi here. I'm glad to see people appreciate Crystal S1 get more love. The manga was my introduction to Sailor Moon.❤

Johnny Young Bosch is best remembered for his role in Power Rangers. Am I too old to be the only one to remember them? LoL

Thanks for covering the differences between the Crystal and manga!!!! It’s been a long time since I’ve read the manga but it’s interesting the changes they made. Cant wait for you to cover Dark Moon, & Infinity. I hope you do the Eternal & Cosmos movies

Honestly, I like how the senshi killed the Kings in the manga, it showcased their power much more, and keeping them alive didn't add anything to the plot, they just died anyways lol. But I did like the short fight they had with the senshi at least.

Fun Fact: On Friday, September 13th: Adult Swim’s Toonami rewind played Sailor Moon Episode 25: Jupiter, The Powerful Girl in Love. 5 days after Emi Shinohara passed away. Sadly, Toonami didn’t dedicate to her memory! “May she rest in peace.”
R.I.P. Emi Shinohara(1963-2024)

TBH I felt that the whole "keeping the four generals alive" thing was unecessary and poorly executed. It seemed like an excuse to ship the four inners when it added nothing to their characters. When they were inevitably killed off, I just found it more goofy than sad. Zoisite and Kunzite had a more convincing relationship than whatever Crystal tried imo.

That aside, I really appreciated this video going over the differences, and I'm happy you gave each voice actor a spotlight!

moon pride is a banger and i love it so much

I hate that they reduced Sailor Mars to just a back up singer. She almost has no personality here, when she's supposed to be at the forefront.

Also it should be noted that the 90's anime ending was the intended ending to the 1st season in fact the Creator intended to end the series there but the her team pleaded not to problem was she was burnted out so they came up with the Hell Tree Arc aka Doom Tree Arc to give her time (think like Mighty Morphin Power Rangers aka Super Sentai Zyu Rangers only was only supposed to have 40 episodes but the show was a massive hit that Saban called Toei to help make 20 additional episodes and a 2 season within the 2nd season they brought Tommy Oliver the green rangers so why did I mention Power Rangers well the creator was a Super Sentai fan and some of the stuff of Sailor Moon was based off Super Sentai they are also from the same company and if you seen the live action of Sailor Moon it looks even more like Power Rangers)

Johnny Young Bosch is also very well known as Adam Park, the second Mighty Morphin' Black Ranger.

Oh this is so good! I love it. I can’t wait til it’s time for Saturn and Galaxia.
