What’s your favorite Nirvana song?

Interesting how he said he couldn't go through another divorce, meaning the first one was his parents'. He felt that they had divorced HIM

I think Kurt had stomach ulcers from internalized stress and PTSD. People think you get PTSD from war zones but for some people life is a war zone

What people don’t realise , how divorce really messes up a child. Some grow up to be ok while others end in complete destruction.

I was in a mental hospital for a while
I AM 3 WEEKS CLEAN TODAYYYYYYY🎉🎉🎉🎉

Kurt always had an angel face. Handsome, talented but deeply traumatized it’s all tragic his daughter is gorgeous too.

It makes me so so sad seeing this beautiful, magical child, knowing how he felt about his life and how it inevitability turned out for him.

whenever i listen to kurt cobain i hear his pain

That sadness when he was young...no wonder he felt like he was just "something in the way". It makes my heart break for him.

He did interview where is states he knew he would be famous as early as a young child and that having little to no money to walk in a Goodwill store to buy something was way more special to him than being rich and famous at the end of it all.

6:17 you forgot the last part of what Kurt wrote on his bedroom wall.... Kurt wrote "I Hate Mom, I Hate Dad, Dad Hates Mom, Mom Hates Dad, It Simply Makes you feel Sad"

He's always felt like a friend I never had... I hope I do get to meet him one day, however or where ever  that may be.

This is heartbreaking. Nobody will ever know what it’s like to suffer with mental health unless they go through it. Sleep tight Kurk 💔💔💔xx

To anyone who has never suffered from chronic stomach pain, it is so debilitating that you can barely stand up, let alone do anything. With other types of pain you can lie down, rest, take some medication. But with stomach pain lying down often makes you feel worse. Pills make your stomach hurt even more. And don't even mention food, except maybe a bowl of cream of wheat or baby food.
I was born in 1947, old enough to be Kurt's mother. I was so bored with music from the 70s (The Eagles 🤢🤮) and I can barely remember anything from the 80s. When Nirvana appeared on the scene, it was as if the music gods opened the doors to something new, really new.
Heart Shaped Box literally changed my life. I was a widow. My first husband shot himself because he couldn't face life anymore. Of course it's more complicated than that. but that's the basic reason. I was engaged to a guy who had been my closest friend for 25 years. But I wasn't really in love with him. We had a lot of fun together and shared our interests with each other. I took him to foreign films, he read beautiful poetry to me while I cooked dinner or got dressed to go out, whatever. We enjoyed each other's company, but I knew from experience that marriage was a totally different trip. He was fat and lazy and liked to lie around and read all day. So I knew that I would be the one cooking and cleaning and paying bills and everything else. So I wasn't too excited about going from the frying pan. One long weekend we took a vacation together. He lived in Oakland and I lived in Los Angeles,  so we met in the middle: Morro Bay. He ate like a hog the entire time and he was really turning me off. Over the course of 15 years we had broken up and got back together 8 times.
It was Sunday morning in the spring of 1993. We had the TV on in the motel room. I was packing my stuff for the drive home and he was stuffing his face with pancakes. I tried not to look at him sitting there with no shirt on, sweat running down his fat pimple back. I was trying not to think about him at all when suddenly an eye-catching music video came on the TV. "Hey! Wait! I have a new complaint!" the singer wailed when I realized it was Nirvana with a new video for a new song. I loved it instantly, my boyfriend didn't. On the way home I stopped at a music store to buy the new Nirvana CD. I must have played Heart Shaped Box 30 times before I got home. The next week I told my friend I was calling off the wedding, this time for good.  He said that if I did that there would be no turning back.
So that's the story of how Heart Shaped Box changed my life. To this day I have never once regretted ending that relationship.
He died in 2023 of complications of Type II diabetic neuropathy. He had already had a foot amputated and the doctors were preparing to amputate his leg which had become gangrenous.
Rest in peace old friend. We would have made each other miserable.

He never hated Teen Spirit, he resented it. There's a world of difference.

I’m from the Seattle area… went to ocean shores (near Aberdeen) years ago and ran into some former classmates of Kurt’s.  They said he was a jokester in school and that he loved pulling pranks.  It’s unfortunate we lost him at such a young age.

Kurt's hatred towards himself was infinitely outweighed by everyone's love for him. It's a tragedy that he could not see that.

Yesterday would of been his 59th birthday !

This was a great documentary about Kurt's life😢

I remember growing up in the 90’s where Nirvana was played all the time even in the late 90’s. Hearing nirvana in 1998 was like Cobain hadn’t died. The band was as strong in 98-99 as it was in 92-93.
