There's also this "animatic pilot" "please I don't want to be magical girl" or something like that.

Watch Glitch become a household name like Disney and Dreamworks in the next 5 years

Edit: holy crap thanks for 2.6K likes

One thing I'd advocate for is to make sure creators get to keep the rights to their projects. If it gets shut down, the corporation shouldn't get to decide on its fate, and relinquishes their share of the rights to it.

Mainstream studios: Conditions whole generation of kiddos that they want and like 2d animation
Mainstream studios after those kiddos grow up: "Nah why would any adult want to watch 2d animations?"

The thing is its only a HANDFUL of indie animation that succeeds unfortunately

A positive video about Vivzepop’s shows??? Haven’t seen one of those in such a long time 😭🙏🏻

In the future, I can't wait for young animators to say their dream is to work at glitch studios rather than Disney

You have no idea how happy that Meta Runner segment made me. It feels forgotten nowadays, but as someone that was there for it's entire run, it's got a special place in my heart. Sucks its kinda shoved aside now, but that's how things go. Great vid man, very well researched and scripted! Hope we get more of this kind of content!

Indie animation, and they don’t mention Alan Becker / Animator vs. Animation 😔

In a world full of AI slop and leaders who don’t care about us, we as consumers value authenticity above almost all else! It’s why I love the boom of indie games and animations!

This success seems like a case of “too many cooks in the kitchen” in regard to the big studios. The big studios want to be “something to everyone” while the independents seek to be “everything to someone”. Does that make sense?

Glitch kinda reminds me of early day Pixar
Edit: yes ik glitch isn’t for kids but the work ethic reminds of them

"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is now" is such a good way to say "take the chance".

so great to know glitch is australian. as an aussie studying screenwriter, we love screen australia because they give out life-changing grants with no guarantees of getting that money back and allows people like this to make amazing content
