I bought Heartbound for my daughter in 2018, before he blew up, because she was a fan of Undertale. She beat it, said the characters were bad and that the story sucked. I then asked her if she was interested in the coming chapters. She said no because it would be a waste of her time. She had just turned 11 when this took place and is now 18, graduated high school, enrolled in college, while those chapters remain incomplete. 😂

As an RPG Maker developer, I can 100% comfirm that Heartbound is recreatable in RM. Course, my dad didn't work at Blizzard so clearly what I say doesn't matter.
