Yeah - back to simple camping 🙌

Edit: Just to clarify, this wasn’t meant as hate of his recent expeditions. They’re incredible, and I watch every one of them. I just hope he never feels like he has to keep raising the stakes. It’s nice to see that simple camping can still make for a great video.

Edit 2: What made me a little concerned was his comment in the last video about releasing some content on his second channel. It made me wonder if he feels too much pressure to make every video on his main channel perfect

There's just something about these solo camping videos. The solitude and peacefulness in nature is so soothing, plus the way Xander interacts with us the viewers is how I imagine a person slowly loses their mind in the apocalypse.

Happy to see some normal camping again!

Hey Xander! Could be wrong but at points in this vid you sound like you're a bit burnt out. It's awesome to do as many grand adventures as you do year-round, but even supremely good experiences can be taxing on the body and mind if you don't let it recover and decompress now and then. Could explain why you felt stronger a year ago than you do now. I hope you're not putting too much pressure on yourself to deliver grand adventures one after another. If you let yourself recover, it is much easier to enjoy anything you plan afterwards, simple trip or not. Hope you're letting yourself bounce back instead of going all in all the time. Best of luck out there!

This is why we started watching you, Xander, just simple canoe camping in Canada

Hey Xander, just wanted to say that your editing has almost surpassed the professional level. I can’t believe this content is free for viewers. You do a great job at attention to detail. It’s amazing how great art can be when it’s truly cared for

I have missed these videos.
Brings me back to watching you in 2021.

This video started off kinda weird, then Xander won the battle in the metal boat with Daryl and everything was normal again.  Welcome back Xander, we missed you.

Dude seriously, these solo camping trips of yours are some of my favorite videos on YouTube.

I remember the first time I realised Xander was a total and unashamed dork just like me and I felt so much less alone in this dork world of mine. Love you dude xo

Xander back home in Canada warms my soul.

At 28:30 I was waiting for you to start screaming for Daryl again 😂

Agreeing with most people here: this kind of video is your best stuff.

32:21 That's obviously exactly what happened there. Seriously this is one of the reasons I love your channel, not afraid to be a little goofy and have fun.

you have no idea how long ive been waiting for these i prefer these solo camping over the trekking and hiking

28:32 OMG 😂😂😂 Classic Xander video.

I was literally just thinking the other day how much I miss these wilderness canoe camping videos, and then you drop five days in the Canadian backcountry. Awesome. I completely understand wanting to take on bigger, different challenges like climbing huge mountains or living with a tribe in New Guinea, and you do an incredible job with those videos too. But honestly, this is the style of video I enjoy most—just you, the canoe, the wilderness, and Canada. It feels like the kind of content that made so many of us start watching in the first place. Really glad to see this one.

Dude, you have the greatest sense of humor. It really sets you apart from other creators!

Damnit Darrell! This was old school canoeing and camping with Xander in Canada. Just what we all needed 🙌🏻😀🏕

Can’t express how much of a smile I have on my face watching this! Absolutely missed the canoe camping videos Xander! Good to see you
