My brother and I used to make these kind of trips a lot. unfortunately I lost him to suicide earlier this year. Remember to cherish these moments because you never know when its too late. You and Xander are wonderful and I hope we get to see a lot more amazing adventures from you both. Thank you guys.

You two should do a 15 day, 100% survival video, as a team, and working together,  overcoming some adversity, and also showing great teamwork as each has their own responsibility as part of you two surviving the abandoned wild.

60 years ago when I was seven, I spent as much time as is humanly possible with a Mandan Indian family, learning bushcraft, tracking, bow hunting, camping, fishing, and most importantly, philosophy.  One of the first things we did was to sit out in the desert, the mountains, along a river or lake, and close our eyes and listen for hours. My job was to list off everything I could hear. At first I could hear very little, but as the time passed, I could hear so much and feel even more. I was taught that every living thing, and every non-living thing on this planet and beyond, is connected. Many humans have lost that connection, and we can reconnect by exploring the wilderness, listening for hours, and helping each other. Even though I went on to university and med school, those two years, with that wonderful family, consisted of the best education of my life. When I teach wilderness survival, our first assignment, is to sit and listen, and jot down everything we hear. We do that exercise every day. Bears are my favorite animal. I studied Grizzly Bears for years in the '70s, and I have so much respect for them.

When me and my buddy go camping with 10 liters of water, 5 liters of beer, enough food to feed a small kindergarten for a week, sleeping mats, pillows, and all the comforts of home — we call it a "survival trip".

Maybe we should find another word for it.

Harbor seals raise their fins in the air to thermo-regulate, due to the large number of blood vessels that run through their fins.  They can either raise or lower their temperature with this method, depending on how long the fin stays out of the water.  They either hold it up for sunlight, or dip and then hold it up to let the wind cool it down.

Well, this is my very first impression about your channel, despite having watched the Xanders video from Northern Territories.
First of all, I must say that both of you have a really great sense of cinematography. The shots, the broll and the overall atmosphere are really amazing. Only within a few minutes of watching, I felt like pausing the video and leaving a comment. As I follow your brother for few years, I did not even know that you exist and also create videos. Your styles are quite alike but at the same time completely different. You have a really calm and contemplative style of filming, rather spiritual one and your way of storytelling is quite distinct and really captivated me.
So, you have got yourself a new subscriber and fan. Can't wait to see more.

I’ve been all over YouTube looking for some bushcraft and survival videos. I’ve rarely come across anything as beautiful as your work. While you’re not delving deeply into the actual bushcraft, your calmness, videography, and choice of ambient music are just perfect to relay the mood I’m hoping to find when I get around to going on my own survival trip. Thank you for not making this another video of someone just camping and stuffing their face with store bought food, and focusing so beautifully on being at peace with nature. Beautiful work.

I have been watching your videos for maybe 3+ years now and it's amazing to see how much you have improved the quality, however, your videos have always felt the same if that makes sense. They look better and sound better but they are always introspective, full of beautiful shots with nothing but background music and amazing landscapes, calm vibes and just amazing to see in general. I'm glad you have not tried to make them more like other creators because that is exactly the reason why you stand out.
