In stories like Game of Thrones we see how society is a major part that cannot be overlooked, and we see how exactly the dynamics within a society affect things on a micro-scale on top of a macro-scale. It’s not just individual characters carrying the story, but audiences are also interested in the relationships the characters engage in. One such important concept that people are interested in are families. Game of Thrones does well in crafting the narrative in centering it mainly on the different Houses of families, each coming with their own unique features, but we also see how the different members of the Houses interact with each other, thus giving us interesting dynamics. So whenever something happens to a member, it is a big deal because we know that the event will likely have a major effect on the story’s progression, which, again, is driven by the families. But why is this so important in Avatar? While there is no fully comparable system in the Avatar universe -- at least not by Aang’s time anymore -- members of significant families do play a major role in society, some of them affecting the entire history.

I love the Beifongs. The biggest family I know in the ATLA and LOK universe.

my funniest Beifong moment was during Sue and Lin's fight, Lin took Juan's "Banana" sculpture and through it against a wall. Concerned, Juan rushed over, looked at it and said "Actually, it looks a lot better now." Which goes to show now matter what you do with abstract art, it still looks "good."

So by Default the Beifong family is linked to the Avatar. Pretty cool to have the Universe set you up like that

I always have this request: Please do the life of Kuvira.

@supereleninasuperfamily7741 5 years ago

Do the life of Kuvira, she is part of the Beirong family as Suyin said in the last comic of ‘ruins of the empire’. ‘You may not have been born a Beifong - - BUT YOU’LL ALWAYS BE PART OF THIS FAMILY.’

@ironfromicey8700 5 years ago

If sokka is suyin's dad. Opal and bolin could get an earthbending baby, an airbending baby, an fire bending baby and a water bending baby. All four nations, al four elements in 1 family.
