Hi ! I'm the person who made Greenwood. I literally almost cried reading some of the comments, like I had no idea people would actually like it when it started as... just a project that I started working on in late 2022, with no prior skills when it comes to creating CC (or any content for a game, if you don't count NWN modules) when I was failing my first year of college and needed to create something and bring it into the world to distract myself from the situation 😄

Yes, both sides of the river have different things going on. Left side (where the Poison Apple is) is the "historical" part of the town, where most of the buildings are quite ancient. Right side was built more recently, but some of the houses are as old as the buildings on the left side (such as the Goodman lot and the Lukless lot).

There is a neighborhood story, but storytelling folders in general are very sensitive and glitch out pretty easily for some reason. I don't know if it's the game having clunky coding or the .xml files in the storytelling folder being unstable, but... yeah, it was there 😭

Yes, Kate Gunner is a she-Grunt. Yes, she built a concrete wall around her house. She's like that. She's also the shoving Sim btw, so she really has this "hates half the town, watches everyone all the time" vibe lol

ETA : The Lukless house is meant to be empty and creepy because they were rich, then lost most of their money. That's also why they can't afford to fix their sinks 😭 Oh, and the house is haunted.

I had never heard of Fellbridge, it sounds like a lot of fun. Also seconding the comment saying "look at Jeans Shaker Oasis", because it's very cool ! Iirc the creator is making a sequel called Service Area, I think.

Nobody is gonna talk about Jacob, the wolf? 🤣🤣🤣

Okay, absolutely crazy thing about that second hood. It was originally uploaded on my sister's birthday and then last updated on MY birthday :0

One of my favorite custom hoods is called Nekojima! I love to see non-western and historical hoods.

15:51  wow that's SO green

I love the look of these neighbourhoods, especially Greenwood! Hope to see you make more of these in the future!

the simlish song as an intro is such a great idea lol

i like your hair very cool

this was fun! i would definitely love more of this!

Greenwood is my favorite custom hood rn! Picked it up on version 1 and loved it and version 2 really did alot of nice changes to the lots and stuff. I also like that things aren’t super heavily decorated so I’m not constantly pink souping on community lots Lmao. My favorite aspect is the chaos that adding story progression in my legacy save has done to this hood. Just lots of alien abductions and wild pairings lol

These hoods ARE cool! I definitely want to try these out at some point 🤩
I love going into full-custom hoods and seeing everyone's unique styles! From their sims to their buildings, they're all so interesting!

Lovely video! ❤

I also enjoy Fellbridge

Great video Sammy! These hoods look so fun to play!

Riverview city by LordCrumps is one of my fave custom hoods! i haven’t seen anyone really talk about it but it’s so well made i love it

I'll definitely check these out! Greenwood looks great!

This was nice sam😊

after a break from the sims 2 i've recently been playing Doogler Hollow by landgraabsims! it's a mini uberhood with a small group of playable families with interesting/quirky storylines. kinda refreshing to get back into playing rotationally without the hassle of 20+ households

obvious shoutout would be Sedona and all the subhoods that come with it, a classic

i also think you would looove Aileen Landing, Sammy! also Pitstop Valley for that derelict desert vibe

omg che diaz became a sims youtuber

This inspires me to start one or even more of these hoods. I love the 1st hood the most. I want to create complete chaos. Purely for Sim science of course...
Also- you're looking sharp Sam! Not being a creeper - just noticed your skin & lip tones. You look great! Although maybe you're like me, and get more compliments when I do very little. I'm like-- where were the compliments when I was actually TRYING to look good!? It's just one of those things. - For me at least. 😅
Love the video, the Sims 2 is quite alive & well. That makes me happy 🙂👍🏼
