Lots of comments regarding graphics rule maker. I did not go that route intentionally. The video is Playing Sims 2 like its 2004, release day build. A build with some patches came out shortly after. This is the day 1 release. And I played it on a Windows XP virtual environment (to make it easier to film). I saw the graphics issues and thought: It must be my virtual environment causing this. So I installed this on my windows 2000 hardware, an actual machine. It looked the exact same graphically. Sure there are drivers I could have hunted down for these operating systems, sure there are settings I could have tweaked, but I wanted an out-of-the-box Sims 2, 2004 experience to keep this video authentic to what many experienced back in the day. I think many people forget the luxuries we have of using modern machines. Enjoy the video, everyone!

When I used to play as a child, I’d only get to a point where I sent kids to uni. Now that I play rotationally, my longest run was 5 generations

17:23 crying at the fact that the darker skinned baby was on top and the lighter one at the bottom hence why you named them Mocha and Vanilla only for them to switch positions 😂

Still remember the weird glitch in the base game that made pregnant sims die 💀

I grew up and my first sims game was the sims 2 on the GameCube. I was about 4 or 5 and my older brother would watch me play it to “monitor” some of the gameplay. Little did I know what that little disc would do just 20 years later 🥺
