WOW. A guy who isnt charging me $USD300 for a fucking tutorial. GOD'S NOT DEAD!

Now to defeat my biggest enemy - perspective...

As someone who paints on one layer alone and is almost allergic to the lasso tool, it's funny to see how differently we approach our processes. I might play around with some of this, though, and get over my aversion to those tools. But those meta-process bits about how you find your workflow, refine it, actually work on things, keep your list of references short, don't get caught up on finagling with something - finish it and move on --- all golden, and always good reminders. Great video! Loved to see your improvements over the years. The results look awesome :D

Ok man, I just have to say, yes there’s a crazy improvement in your newest art, but even your beginner stuff was incredible. I’m saying that as an artist of over  30 years myself, you genuinely have an undeniable skill. I just found your channel and can’t wait to see where you go from here, so keep up the awesome work!

Absolute goat tutorial. No hard sell, no unnecessary fluff. Thank you!

My mind is blown... THANK YOU!

holy layers

You are talented my guy, if I show your environment art ti someone, they'd think it was a real picture

Im impressed. 500+ layers on a piece seems insane especially when its mostly multiply and hardlight layers. But still as insane as this is it works.

I watch this everytime I have an artblock learning backgrounds, this kind of art and process is what I aim for!

It is a solid workflow I still do it mostly like this. However the major flaw with it that I've found is that it is very OCD. At some point I start to focus on my layer stack instead of the image. It needs to be organized to have all of the selections easily accessible or it becomes a nightmare mess. In the end I found that there's a point where you just need to collapse the image and just paint on it or build a new layer stack on top, since tools that are were supposed to save you time start to require a lot of my mental energy just to navigate. The main reason I stopped enjoying art as much are those gigantic layer stacks.

One of the most easily understood process ive seen so far! Thanks for the help

Over the moon found this channel ❤

I don't ever comment on youtube but I felt like I had to after watching all your videos. I find it hard to focus and comprehend a lot of videos that explain art processes similar to this but I find yours easy to understand and it's very helpful to me!! I really hope your videos get a lot more recognition because they're really great - Thank you!

Such a good video dude!! I learned more here than I have in any other videos combined. Awesome work 🔥🔥

i wish i can have a full speedpaint on this + more commentary such as your thought process etc. This is such a helpful video though. Really love to see more.

So sick tbh.

I draw the environment for my videos, but this is freaking helpful 😮

Literal gold dude. Thank you so much for making this video and breakdown.

This is genuinely so helpful ugh i wish i could get as talented as you 😢
