you're a great teacher man, a lot of channels online just kind of talk over a timelapse of them drawing with general statements, you really go into intuitive detail about what you're adding to the image to and why, plus you don't talk for the sake of it

appreciate you making these videos, you're inspiring myself and many others no doubt 🙏

10 mins in, honestly bro, please dont stress yourself, everything you said you were aiming for, trying to help others out and motivate them to create...honest to god you are doing it. Been to an art college, been to a mentor, am with another mentor right now, currently working on a portfolio, i know what im talking about. You are providing a good resource here. In fact you putting this pressure on yourself is the only real problem. for real. Thanks for the uploads.

Thank you for everything, I always come back to your videos when I'm lost in the journey. Do not stress yourself, you help us so so much. Hearing you explaining your process this way is a huge source of inspiration. Please keep going for those who come after.

dude the struggle of keeping your own art flow and standards while also turning it into content is SO REAL. Every time i sit down to draw with intent to make content, I immediately lose my process and standards. Same feelings as you with my own IP, especially. Just remember that to me, to us, you're the best. And to know that your art is even better when you forget about the recording aspect, is just amazing.

Artists like you are so precious. I believe that at every level of mastery, we need inspiration and a welcoming space to connect and share. And this is possible thanks to people like you, who are willing to take the time to share experiences, knowledge, and doubts. When an artist is in the dark and can no longer find direction, this is invaluable.

you're amazing. don't let public hate shape the way you see your art or art process, this is very inspiring and your art process is very cool

just wanna let u know, ur channel is everything i was looking for — world building environment concept art etc
u are doing amazing
and im rlly enjoying ur videos

i have already watched 100 times...my inspiration

Hi Grady, just wanna say thank you so much for sharing these detailed processes, and it's so inspiring seeing how you design and draw. I am struggling a bit recently, finding myself not as loose and creative as I was months ago and still trying to find the reason in the fog. Watching this video and hearing your explanation definitely helped greatly! Also, please don't overstress yourself, creating is already a difficult thing not to mention you are sharing these actively. Thank you for doing so again.

nothing but love for you man! <3

You can't even imagine what a huge inspiration you are to me and so many others. Your creative process is very clear and inspiring. But the best part is your attitude and calmness. Every time I watch one of your videos, I want to create something myself. I've been interested in concept art for a year now; previously, I'd only drawn fanarts or other simple commissioned pieces. I graduated from two art schools, but I have ADHD and struggle with concentration and motivation. I can do three drawings in one day, and then not even touch my tablet for months. Your videos really help me. I want to be like you. I'm 26, and sometimes I think it's too late, but I try not to think about it. You're an incredible artist.

Just found this, thanks for making the video!

I really love your works, watching the process is so enjoyable. Awesome

Don’t ever stop making the videos, they’re great to watch, incredibly informative, inspirational and often philosophical. We appreciate it, thank you!

Thank you for sharing the art process and your thought.

Two Grady videos in less than 2 weeks! Christmas miracle!

Grady keep it up man, your a unique voice in the art/YouTube community that is naturally inspiring and down to earth/real. The NF of YouTube Art. (That’s a compliment I love NF.) Hope your year ends full of great times with family and friends!

Man does your art style resonate with me Grady. You kind of bridge that gap between Dark Souls and Jablonski - I’m learning a lot watching your process and you’re such a pleasure to listen to

I haven't been around the art world in a few years, as my life took another direction. I miss the days when I could watch Feng Zhu explain art processes. It's nice to have something newer than a decade ago. I enjoy what you are doing her and hope to see more of your work.

Hello!! I know this is an older video, it was just recommended to me recently and I've seen just two of your videos so far, but I just wanted to say you're doing amazing! Your clearly insanely talented, and the fact that you're taking time to share your wisdom and process is already so generous and kind. I kind of like that you still sound a little nervous when you make content, it just shows how genuine and earnest you are. I find sometimes people making content just sound irrationally cocky, but you are extremely skilled and yet still come off as humble. I'm sure I'm not the only person who loves that. As for recording yourself and feeling like you're losing the process because you're aware of the recording, I'm not sure if it's been suggested before, but I would try recording yourself every time you draw, and just delete it immediately after you're done. Just get used to the recording happening but with none of the pressure of posting, eventually it'll start to feel more and more natural. They suggest similar things for people who start streaming or recording themselves talking, just talk to the camera for a while before you start officially and record that, watch it back to give yourself feedback but never show it around. It helps get used to the process and make it less stressful. But, yes, sorry for the essay, I just wanted to say I love your content and I'm so glad I found it. Also the tip for drawing things bigger and scaling them down to apply to the piece to avoid brush issues at smaller sizes is genius!!

Thank you so much for sharing your creation process with all of us. Don’t stress yourself, we appreciate everything you share!
